double figure has some great tracks, geogaddy bites. BoC
ripped themselves off for this album

Double Figure and No Doubt, sounds about right.

Geogaddi has a million more expressions, not twee
electronica, Double Figure sucks compared to what they are
capable of.

geogaddi has a million more walls of meandering static
grungy synths more like..double figure is dynamic,
spontaneous, versatlie..and with a far better sence of
melody than..Borughtup on Crap(BoC)

Double figure is definately not spontaneous, it's as
contrived as hell. Each bit is so politely executed it's
boring.

Which bit did you think was spontaneous, where Plaid just
did it on the fly and kept the results?

geo-gaddy bites plaids arse. BoC ripped off black dog. boc
ripped off aphex (and made it antiseptic and bland) - no
wonder rephlex didnt bother signing them

duh
it's a figure of speech...the songs are dynamic..and they
grow and evolve as they progress hence eliciting an illusion
of spontaneous expansion...while on geogaddi they plod on
and on and on and they dissolve ever so polite..heh..calling
double figure polite while singing virtues of the most most
polite sounds of them all..BoC LOL..I find that most of what
BoC are doing on geogaddi has been done so much more
competently by AIR

I wouldn't even care to compare them. Two different styles.
Both valuable in their own way.

Peace.

I mean like I said before..the only bands I see compareable
to BoC are AIR..maybe Massive Attack..or Nightmeres on
Wax..to me their sound has been more downbeat triphop uptill
geogaddi..admitedlly geogaddi sounds more like a Warp album
than their previous stuff..I am a bit more patial to it than
their previous stuff..but all this hype..coome ooon..a
prefect album?..the best IDM album? the best IDM band?..I
think their sound barely starts to sound IDM on geogaddi..by
it's skin teeth...

How is Air anything like BoC? I love Air, I just dont see
the comparison.

um..the use of synths..the recreation of early moogy sound
scapes..both have their sounds drenched in the 70's

I am also with Taoist...I cannot really see ANY
similarities...maybe the synths once in awhile, otherwise
they are totally different.

but slightly less different than some of the other
comparisons made on this board..I said the closest..not AIR
are BoC or vice versa...
