I've been watching stand up comedians and other shows for hours on paramount comedy. I don't understand: what is inherently funny about sexual activities? What is funny about womens' breasts and mens' cocks? It's not a matter of comedic elitism. I just don't understand why most comedy reverts back to jokes centering on sex, or why most people find those jokes so funny. Sex is just sex: it's wonderful and all, but is it funny? Why can't people tell equally lazy jokes about knees or climbing trees or fingernails or anything else and receive laughter? |

i agree that it is because awkwardness is funny. and also talking openly about taboo things PLUS they are things you can relate to but can't always talk about will make people respond to it all the more. any sex joke that is actually funny is so because it is tied to some truism that people relate to. |
