There will be a 'deluxe' version, vinyl only, limited to 1060 copies (you see what they did there?), which will contain 'neat stuff' (all I was told, details to come) The album will be released in the second half of the year, 'before the leaves turn colours' (could this be the title of the album?) The first track off the album is called 'Isolated Receiver' and will be a single release as well before the album's release. It's supposedly "their best track they feel they've done yet"(!) |

More info: The new Boards of Canada album is a return to their "minimalist synth-dominated, experimental" roots. Marcus, one half of BOC says "We've learned a lot over the years, but we regularly listen to our archives and still appreciate our older, somewhat naive work. We're aiming for a return to this sound, but produced in a way which also compliments our new sound". APRIL FOOLS FUCKERS. They're gonna make another guitar hippy friendly wankfest and you know it! |
