btw, im watching apocalypto now..it could have been so much better. i don't get all the violent scenes at all..infact it seems like the whole movie is one big violent scene. it's pretty boring really, but i'll get through : )

You might want to try Mandabi. For a movie, it's alright, but for Africa, it's great!

you've got to see this african nature quasi-documentary that The Gods Must be Crazy director did right before that. Animals are Beautiful People. great doc and you can see how it lead to The Gods Must be Crazy. think it even has the same bushman in it. classic.

The Gods Must be Crazy seems like the film is slightly sped up and the overdubbing is really intense. It all ads to the comedic effect

africa is a dangerous place to live, you gotta know your survival stuff to live there or you get eaten by anything that thinks it stronger than you.

My twin brother bought me this DVD a few years back for my birthday. We used to watch it all the time as kids - our local video shop had a real poor choice.
But this is a classic; the sequel was in the box too. QUALITY STUFF :)

I think it's still on Amazon.
On a side note, "Mysterious Cities of Gold" is released as a 6 disc box here in the UK on Monday. Can't wait to get that one bought.
