I had an interesting conversation about lucid dreaming
yesterday.... anyone have any experience or any thoughts on
the subject?

Well, RDJ claimed (in an interview in wire back in '95) that
he is a lucid dreamer. This contributes to his aure I think.
This interview should be posted on www.thewire.co.uk
(somewhere in articles section)

Prompted, a culture shock rasping canopy,
Grasp and seek at this wanna be sovereignty,
patiently waiting fer Gods to speak out of Auburn trees
and we've been haunted in streams of the awfullest
dreams,,,
Degrading, serving a curveless gimmick of straight lines as
though provided,
Governments spoon feed, because like a baby, its still half
blinded,
Still infantry yet just a child Rebels fuckin em over as if
the Petafiles wept in shrouds...................THE BARON
HAS SPOKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually had a dream the other day about myself trying to
design some midi-compatible dream equipment that could
connect with my computer so that I could write music while I
was dreaming and save it on my computer. Its an entirely
pausible idea too. Just a little out of our technological
grasp, but not too far.

Write it down. Then you can look at it objectively.

http://www.lucidity.com/LucidDreamingFAQ2.html

Ever since I stopped playing ice hockey in 1990, I've had
this reoccuring dream that I'm flying a couple of inches
above the ground, standing up as if skating. I know I'm
dreaming so I quess it qualifies.

I read a bit about lucid dreaming...
If you turn on a light in your bedroom before you sleep it's
supposed to help you see better in your dreams.
I've experienced lucid dreaming quite a few times. It's
always when I'm in the state of half awake/half sleep
though.
Sometimes when I miss someone really bad I try to think
about them as much as possible before I fall asleep so that
I can see them in my dreams. That has also worked for me
aswell.

When you get into the habit of lucid dreaming, and you have
a lover that you are very close with, make love to them, and
fall asleep totally entwined in eachothers arms. Both
practice the same tools you normally use to fall asleep with
to have lucid dream. This will help you have a shared dream
experience.

i lucid dream a lot... i'd say more than half the time (at
least of the dreams i remember) i'm aware that i'm dreaming,
and try to do cool stuff, cus i know i can

actually, i had an interesting dream last night, that i was
in some sort of conflict w/ a bunch of escaped convicts..
and we all had rifles, and i shot a few of them cus they
were going to kill me
then i ended up hiding in some sort of ship, and decided to
commit suicide because i knew if they found me they would
torture and kill me
so then i put the barrel in my mouth and everthing.. closed
me eyes...
then i remembered i was only dreaming, and thought: i could
just wake up!
so i did
then i woke up and was really freaked out

some of my favourite dream-types: when im flying (lots of
fun!) and when i'm underwater, and i can BREATH the water..
it feels really cool, i can feel the heavy, cool water in my
lungs
my friend has also experienced the breathing water thing...
has anyone else experienced this?

I am heavily into this. And i am really good. I´ve had some
Matrix-like I-can-do-anything-REALLY-anything-to-whoever..
Its lots of fun! I remember helping someone on this mb on
how to achieve lucid dreams, who was that?!?

btw. in my opinion, listening to music, like "oh, i use to
listen to SAWII and i DREAM and i dream real cool stuff
about the SAWII"-like listening while having lucid dreams is
bullcrap because im totally fucked off during the dreaming
really.

binaural do you have any methods to help achieve a lucid
dream? at the moment i am trying to remember to look at my
hands, so when i see them, i will remember that i was
supposed to do it, an so realise that i am dreaming... but
itsnot really working yet.

offline Taxidermist from Black Grass on 2002-03-25 21:47 [#00141602]

Write something on your hand that is simple to remember, and
has a strong impression with you. Make sure you focus on how
it felt to write on your hand... the feel of the pen and ink
against your skin or stuff like that... and think about what
you had written there while you fall asleep. Remember to
picture yourself waking up and remembering your message when
you are trying to fall alseep.

yeah. funny thing, that you mention looking at your hands
because this got me into lucid dreaming in the first
place..
i´ll look up an old thread and see if i´ll find my
comments.. just wait a sec..

HERE IT IS. QUOTING MYSELF : "Yeah. Set your watch to wake
you up early in the morning.
Switch it off as soon as you wake up, and fall back to your

pillow (now you are pretty much in an half dream state),
start imagining things, like.. choose a landscape (its a bit

of a risk to have your head make up one by itself, some time

ago i zoomed into a situation where i sat in the middle of a

room full of people, with my pants down at a toilet). You
know these purple-ish shapes that float around when eyes
closed. They will form the landscape and make it visible.
Look at your hands (in the dream, obviously), and keep
concentrating. Zap. You´re in. This one works for me." HOPE
THIS HELPS A BIT.
