What is the best DVD burning/iPod transfer software for
Intel Macs for .avi files etc.?

Free is good, but I will pay if it is worth it.

for dvd burning i use toast, but you probably already have
idvd on your mac which is a perfectly suitable solution.

for freeware, i've heard good things about burn
but haven't used it myself.

for ipod transfer use senuti, if by ipod transfer
you mean copying file from the ipod onto another computer.
if youre looking for an alternative to the way itunes
handles the ipod you'll have to install a secondary os onto
it like rockbox.

how about you just finish writing my senior philosophy
thesis in the next 12 hours and we can call it even?

ooooy vey, 15 pages to write about kant, virtue ethics and
government... im in for a long day.

I had to read Kant for my degree, not doing that again
sorry. I know you have helped me out but my essay was
recanting Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and my
tutors comment was, 'have you actually read any Kant'. So I
had to do the essay again and read it, I ended up with a 2:1
for that essay somehow. They must have marked it on a curve
because it was the worst essay I ever wrote.

yeah, i'll be honest, i have not done nearly as much reading
for this as i should have - ive only spent the last two days
reading over chunks of text which i should have finished
over the last 9 weeks.

needless to say, im not even a quarter of the way done and
im already rambling and really have no idea where im going.
how oh how will i ever stretch this out to be 15 pages i
dont know.

and if they grade it on a curve, unlike you, im royally
fucked because half of my class is graduate students where
as im still a lowly undergrad. i often feel philosophically
dwarfed in that seminar.
