'montecore' is pretty okay. 'didn't i furious' is as bad as
its name. i honestly don't hear anything special in these
guys and i'm usually pretty forgiving.

I liked the samples, especially the song Montecore on
myspace. Will be keeping an eye on these guys.

Is it me or am I hearing Add (N) to X in nearly every other
new band?

Just buy Avant Hard and have done with it.

add n to x is simply wonderful, well ... only one album (on
the wires of our nerves). which is ace+ all the way
through.

the other albums, sadly, do not do much-anything for me.

gentle germans,

"Equally influenced by Synthesizer luminaries Vangelis &
Jean-Michel Jarre, Warp label mates such as Autechre, and
the post-punk new wave of Talking Heads, Pivot is comprised
of Sydney's Laurence and Richard Pike, plus Perth electronic
manipulator Dave Miller."

^^^^
I LIKE!

Nice work. Pivot are awesome. Saw them in Perth a couple of
years ago when they were touring their debut album. Really
tight live. Lawrence is one of the best drummers ive seen.

I like bits, then it goes Prog or faux-Slint stop-start
Rock. I'm too old. Still, they cite Garth Marenghi as an
influence. I can see (hear) where they're coming from, but
it's a bit... paying homage to too many influences and not
enough original heart felt RAW SEX.

I like the sound of their synths.. Really warm and nice..

Not enough orgasm inducing melodies or arrangements though
to my taste,.

Listened to this last night. Leaning too much on the side of
post-rock for me, not electronicy enough. Deleted.

i can't open the myspace site, but i think i remember
hearing it the other day, it's kind of like a mix of
acoustic and synth instruments, i thought this could be
interesting, but i can't comment until i hear more

It sounds like Vangelis, Jarre & Battles collaborating... so
you're pretty much there.

them since they totally upstaged caribou in 2004. the new
album is great imo!
