oh man, japanese bug fights are fucking intense, monster
b-movies at micro-scale. ended up watching a load of them
round my mate's at the weekend, that giant hornet thing that
was trouncing everything else is eeeeeeevil... i read
somewhere that apparently when they do that acid-squirty
bizniss on humans they go straight for the fucking
eyes
. and apparently it's laced with pheremones so all
their mates can seek you out and join the stingfest, about
40 people a year in japan die this way

fuck! entertainment!

~!!STORY!!~

when i was a kid, used to go visit family friends out in the
country. me and my bro used to hang out with these two kids.
they had this small little hole in the backyard that was
full of these giant bull ants fuckers.
one day, this small little scorpion was crawling around in
the house, so we (the two kids who lived there..) caught the
little guy in a cup. we then went outside and started poking
the hole with a stick, until all these bull ants started
marching out. we set the scorpion free right in the middle
of it all, and that's all it took for this epic battle to
take place.
we watched as the scorpion survived wave after wave of those
bastard bull ants, stinging them all one after one. we kept
wooting for his victory, but eventually he was outnumbered.
surrounded by numerous dead ants, this one last fight took
place between a bull ant and the dying scorpion. in the end
they both just.. dropped dead.
that shit was fucken AWESOME!

man, all these fights are like, GIANT STINGING ARMOURED
INSECT VS. some crappy stick insect with wings.

it's funny how, in nature, certain creatures end up with
venom and armor, and others get totally shafted and end up
with a soft body and slow legs.

---

I like the vids of insects fighting in the wild, like the
natgeo ones, but when its some kid picking up a spider with
tweasers and repeatedly dropping it right on top of an
agitated scorpion, well, that's just fucking lame, sirs.

I didn't watch the praying mantis one, because I assumed it
was going to be a quick match in favor of the mantis. This
is because one time my friends and I saw a mantis fly into a
giant banana spider web. When the spider came over to
investigate, the mantis started boxing him in the face with
his kung-fu arms! The spider retreated to the other side of
the web, and the mantis was actually strong enough to rip
himself across the web to the other corner, and he beat the
spider until it actually fell of the web. And then the
mantis fucking flew away like nothing had happened, he
wasn't even tired. I have never seen a more badass insect in
my entire life.

i can't do youtube, is the vid from japanesebugfights.com? i
can't figure out why nobody's mentioned it yet

there's a praying mantis in one of the vids btw, gets messed
up good and proper. they are definitely awesome and weird to
look at but the giant japanese hornet is the fucking daddy
of hard insects, taking on anything and everything and just
spraying that weird poison shit all over it. some mad
centipede takes it down in the end though

wmwmw, your viewpoint interests me, isn't applying human
morality (which is a pretty odd concept anyway) to other
animals sort of silly? i'm not sure where i stand on all
this but it's highly entertaining. i'd watch a human vs
human fight to the death as long as there was no coercement
or whatever involved but i guess that'd be pretty inevitable
in some form. as a species we are just cunts, why not be
honest? grey area devil's advocate etc etc

Things like human pollution alone cause way more damage than
some minor thing like this, and nature is red in tooth and
claw anyway, but still I find it evil/disrespectful to
hurt/kill something that otherwise would be alive for
entertainment, especially since evil is by definition
causing pain intentionally.
