I think I started it - soz! People do get protective of their music, usually the worse it is the more protective they get. I mean I read a lot of threads here, people saying they have Reason, Fruity Loops, Ableton, even Pro Tools - but when I download their tracks all I hear is aimless noodling I must admit. I mean I used to write a lot of songs on a crappy old Yamaha SY85 workstation, the songs were pretty shit compared to what you hear today, but still ten times better than anything anyone ever uploads on this site in my own humble opinion. I would always want the tracks to say something, have momentum, a rhythm, structure, emotion - not just random arty farty noises. |
