Removal and replacement of the wall is an additional cost. I
advise you seek your own costing for this but shouldn't cost
more than £5000.

He he! Yes, don't want naughty graf artists spraying on it
now, do we...

Banksy's greatest contribution to the art world has always
been beyond his intent and control – How the power of the
internet can elevate a career by making everyone else
dumber.

It's ironic. And his use of irony is about as adolescent
and dim witted as Shepard Fairey's.

near 6 figures just itself.

I wouldn't pay $20 for that, and I think banksy's got stuff
that is a lot better, but the outright contempt both for his
work and he as a person is so very confusing to me.

It's more about the blatant selling out of an artform that
was once subversive but is now no more edgy than an advert
in some magazine about shoes and urban lifestyles, you silly
man.

However, I dont think it is. You'd be surprised how often
this kind of shit happens actually.

I think you'll find it real easy to default to insults when
you're on the internet because you lack the vocabulary or
mental capabilities to formulate a proper argument, either
in person or supported by actual experience.

Do yourself a favor and jump off the Banksy bandwagon. It's
not helping you to develop ideas of your own. He's a
"litmus" test artist. When people name drop him, their
credibility and knowledge of contemporary art history and/or
critical discourse automatically drop several pegs.

If you consider yourself "in the know," you don't know shit.

i like the idea of brightening up boring bits of cities with
graffiti.. and a lot of banksy's stuff is certainly
intelligent.

it's the fawning twat clingers on/media who people should be
targetting their anger towards

why does there always have to be a fucking bandwagon?

can't people just admire his work outside of who thinks what
and who knows what about how this or that is better?

it's people like you who warp what art is meant to be about.
it's a collective. this is a creative voyage and you're just
another crack in the hull.

my final word.

most of the time it's not the artist who fucks it, it's the
general public.

On the contrary, it's people like you who are too lazy to
educate yourself on the variable nature of what constitutes
art.

Sure there are several definitions, qualifying categories,
and a vastness of subjective opinions about what constitutes
art, but unfortunately its people like you who lump anything
visually hyped into the art category, attributing
credibility to exposure.

Personally I don't care what you label it, and I'd like to
think the number of people who consider something art is all
but totally irrelevant to whether or not I like something.

I enjoy some of banksy's peices, others, not so much..
Whether you label it Art, high art, or design doesn't affect
me much.
