Yeah, no fair. You claimed your final word posts ago!

Look, I think Bansky cam be subversively clever at
times. However, he's over saturated to the point of
cancelling one's self out. We see so many times in the
world if you go too far in one direction, you're bound to
come out on the opposite end. That's all saying is going on
with Mr. Banksy.

Rather than be told what is hot or what is interesting, I
just wish people would go out and find these things for
themself. It is that reason why I dont think Banksy serves
a great purpose anymore. It's like going to Starbucks and
saying you're progressive, or subversive, or "indie" because
you're a fan of Arcade Fire (who I like, who many people
like, but in the big spectrum is still a relatively unknown
band). It's not a pissing contest, it's not about
posturing, it's just that the Juxtapoz art market is moving
forward with little self-criticism or work whose content
actually addresses or reflects this phenomenon.

I'd like to see you all be friendly with each other :D
It's paint on a wall. It resembles something. Some people
like it ,some people don't. Relax...

I don't really think it's a big deal, but there are thing's
I do think is a big deal that I'm sure most of you won't.

Relax... chill...

For the record, gl0tch is a really cool guy :D
Stop fighting !

a pretty decent graffiti prankster from the best I can tell.

Is there anything about his actual pieces that you dislike,
or is it just the fact that the unwashed masses have taken a
liking to it that sickens you?

Personally I find the messages in his stuff thats supposed
to be making comments on society to be a bit too in your
face. I cant doubt the guys skill though and pieces like the
one in this thread are fucking great.

A) Regarding his artwork, it's both. I liked the paintings
he did on thrift-store style landscape paintings b/c it gave
his work an art historical context. As far as being
"sickened" by the unwashed masses, it's like running into
some guido club kid who thinks Trance music is the most
complex and progressive electronic music ever made. It's
not.

B) As far as my age, I'm FAR from 15yrs old.

C) Where some of you may suggest I have issues, I seriously
think it might be best for some of you to develop some real
issues in order jump start your brains.

Regarding A, who cares if it's a guido kid or not though,
you should be addressing why you think trance isn't good.

wasnt the most complex or progressive electronic music out
there.

Let's put things in perspective, Banksy's art is often
clever and thought provoking. Like all artists he wants to
communicate his work to as many people as possible.

He also has to make a living, put food on the table. Artists
make a living by selling their work - ALL ARTISTS.

It's not his fault his work gets hyped up or that his art is
in vogue, and no matter how much money he makes out of his
art that can never subtract from the intellectual worth of
the art itself.

When you start putting a value on art or saying this art is
better than that art, you have started to crawl up your own
arse. None of that is Banksy's fault. He just puts it out
there and earns from it.
