Walk into splintered sunlight
Inch your way through dead dreams
to another land
Maybe you're tired and broken
Your tongue is twisted
with words half spoken
and thoughts unclear
What do you want me to do
to do for you to see you through
A box of rain will ease the pain
and love will see you through

you could also get a job doing what you love.

Job doing something you love. I like sleeping, girls,
junkfood, getting drunk, playing videogames.

Getting something you are GOOD at seems to be the better
route. If you are pretty hardcore in one field and can goto
work and be all techno vikking and point at people and shit
then it's not bad. But as soon as someone starts pwning you
then you know your job sucks.

This post makes NO SENSE WHAT SO EVER.

i am. i quit my job 2 months ago and haven't gotten another
since. i haven't been looking too hard though. my money is
running out and i'm considering suicide if i can't find
another.

i'd move out to california and be a video game tester if it
was a guarantee. i know it pays shit but it's something i
love.

I'm self employed, but I don't work very hard, at least not
lately. I say that and I've worked all this Boxing Day
afternoon, shame I just had the last few ... months without
the facilities to do much beyond very fucking little.

didnt need much money, spent a lot of the time doing
creative stuff and music. but all of a sudden nothing
works out for me anymore. ill get a forced job doing
printmedia stuff from the state. maybe it ll turn out to
be good for me, i dont know yet...
most of the time when i had a job it kinda was ok,
but in long terms they sucked.

And they say people who live with their parents are losers.
Losers pay rent and work crappy jobs IMO. I'm buying a house
ASAP.

The whole point in life is to be safe and enjoy what little
time you have. So when someone opens up about someone being
a loser for living at home, it means that person is
JEALOUS.

If you can do it, families should buy bigger houses and all
chip in. Instead of "Oh I can't wait until my kid turns 18
so I can kick him out" it should be "I can't wait until he
is an adult and we can start looking at some luxurious
houses."

If your kids goto school, graduate, and start making
80,000-100 000 a year, combine daughter and sons income and
thats 200 000 to play around with, on top of what the rents
would be making.

Instead of families breaking up and everyone JUST GETTING BY
(like losers) society should be more acceptive of families
that want to live as a pack. You are financially stronger
and can live a better life style.

But since society labels people living at home as LOSER,
then women, whom for most, social status/social life is more
important then looks, help fan the fire and reject these
people. When it is clearly the smarter decision.

i for one don't think your a loser

what you describe is the extended family. the extended
family is the way in many parts of the world, but not the
west.

people in the west are individualists. people in the other
parts of the world have to live together to make ends meet.
that people here don't do it can only mean that they will
want to live alone, or with their own, new, family if given
the chance.
however individuals as the westerners may be they are also
the loniest i think. i guess it's the way of things. it has
good and bad sides. for instance i doubt you would be an idm
musicmaker if you were living in a way you described .

instead of the extended family i'd rather live with friends
in a big house.
though i doubt i could stand their noise.

I'm 12 hours from my family and 4 from my GF.
I have a nice paying job so I can pay my tuition.

To tell you the truth I need a place to live, tonight. I'm
worried, and at this point I just want a nice place to
sleep where I don't have to worry about crack heads drunks
and knife wielding morons.

I don't know how I'm going to pull this one off.

Don't trust anybody, and worry about yourself. And don't be
afraid to punch anyone in the face who attacks you.

good luck. sounds rough. and i liked what you said about the
conception of being a loser for living at home.

i am one of those people who feel that way and live at home
and i want to get out asap but it's a bit more complicated
than that. it'd be nice if families were like that but it's
very ideal and doesn't fit the western individualist ways,
as big said.

The trouble with living at home is that society makes you
feel like a loser for doing it. Why? Because often people
who rent or saddle themselves with a massive debt in order
to buy their own home struggle with the financial pressure,
so to make themselves feel good they try to belittle others.
Typical human envy and insecurity really.

The crux of the matter is, don't judge others, and if you
feel comfortable living at home and your parents are happy
to have you there, DO IT. And you prefer to be more
independent, but have a whole lot less money, DO THAT. And
if you fall in love and move in with a partner, HAVE FUN -
it won't last.

I guess it's what poor finances can lead to: destitution,
loss of family, self-respect, loss of home, belongings, a
sense of belonging, etc.

I think I just tapped out to stability last night, I really
want to buy a house now and sound proof a so I can start
recording again. All I want to do is start recording like I
use to 4-5 years ago.

So staying employed is an important part of this objective.

I have a boring job, but the money's quite good. I rent a
room in a house with mates, and if I'm frugal I still have a
decent amount of disposable income every week, something I'd
never be able to do if I was on the dole. I was unemployed
for four months a few years back, and it was way worse than
being bored in an office.

now is a great time for me to quit my current job, not that
i really have a choice anyway. i love being unemployed - but
its just an excuse for working on projects i like basicly.
