The initial screen where I can put in my e-mail and
password is still up (or it may just be cached on my
harddrive), but I can't get any farther than that screen.

I'm expecting an important e-mail, any hotmail users having
the same problem?

i think it has something to do with cookies in firefox..try
accessing it through ie or mozilla.

About as much as any other off-topic thread does, I suppose.
(of which, there are plenty.) Anyway, I'm not trying to
start shit, just trying to figure out if it was a localized
