Yeah, I hear you but I find that most demos just suck on a
sonic level. Like every thing is either really muddy, or or
really weak. I agree, get some musical talent, but maybe
also devote yourself to a couple pieces of gear so you can
focus on your music knowing you have a good sound
automatically. Then you can develop your musical sense
instead of fucking with plug ins to make it sound PHAT

to me, its sounds very formulaic... very 4:4... like, I knew
the bass was going to come in on the second bar...

try using some more incidental sounds... create an
atmosphere... hell, even steal a hook from somewhere, use it
in a different way...

The tracks above were also quite slow... very ploddy... the
4:4ish signature didn't help with this either... break
things up a bit... use some reversed / tweaked / distroted
bits... make it interesting!!

good luck
(all constructive I hope)

I think its drums that make records.... the rhythm
section... be it breakbeat, idm or whatever... its the
rhythm that does it for me.

work on that, and a nice bass line (not a simple continuous
bass pad sound) and some incidental stuff and your halfway
there...

I urge everyone who has any interest in making music not to
take anything bogala said seriously, he clearly has no idea
what he's talking about.

I take that as a compliment after hearing your tracks.
