1. Confield
2. Gantz Graf
3. Tri Repetae
4. Draft 7.30
5. Chiastic Slide
6. LP5
7. Garbage
8. Untilted
9. Amber

I don't see them ever topping Confield.

1. confield
2. lp5
3. chiastic slide
4. draft 7.30
5. ep7
6. gantz graf
7. tri repetae
8. untilted (live sets are much higher)

yeah, unfortunately they earliest work has never really
grabbed me so im not gonna rate them now.

agreed on the confield, that album and drukqs are the
epitome of "idm" and both completely blew me away on first
listens (granted, they were my first listens of idm, but
yeah...)

Me too, exactly. Windowlicker was technically the first
"idm" (fucking hell I hate that term) i'd heard, But
Confield and DrukQs both really got me started with this
music back in 2002.

I like the untilted live sets but prefer the album. I got to
see them live (late 2005 at the Mezzanine) and was a little
pissed cause I couldnt even get a good look at their gear. I
think my favorite live recording of theirs is probably their
2002 Coachella set.

If you haven't heard "Garbage" yet, I would check it out
because it's really the highlight of their pre Tri Repetae
stuff.

man, i was totally going to go to that show except it was
freshmen year, i didnt have a car and waited too long to try
and find a ride into the city.

after seeing justice there, i think the mezzanine is very
much my favorite club ive been to. that upstairs lounge area
with the fat subs is just sublime after a long sweaty show.

haha, yeah it's not bad. I also saw Kool Keith there last
year.

IMO you didn't miss too much. Like everyone says it was
pitch black, I could see a tiny bit of Rob once when he
shined a flashlight for a second. Yes, everyone will say
it's about the music, but I was a little ticked I couldnt
even see the performers.

1. confield
2. untilted-era live sets (i burned a cd of one of the
soundboard recordings and it sits along with my official
releases. only bootleg i've ever done that for)
3. remix of spangle by autechre
4. lp5
5. amber
6. gantz graf
7. envane
8. chiastic slide
9. ep7
10. draft 7.30
11. cichlisuite
12. tri repetae++ (sorry to not break them up)
13. peel session 2
14. untilted
15. peel session 1
16. basscad remixes
17. we r y are we (whatever it is)
18. anti-ep
19. incunabula
20. autechre play (insert german words here)

1 - 11 are all great or better in my opinion and then it
goes downhill a bit each. i favor lp's a bit because length
generally equals more songs. 19 official releases yikes.

i should be asleep

As far as albums go.

confield
draft
chiastic slide
untilted
lp5
incunabula
tri repetae
amber

but its gotta be said, i really like tapr, xylin room,
montreal, piezo, vletrmx21, lcc, clipper, cpach and a bunch
of others almost equally.
this list is rather arbitrary in the sense that one albums
song can be better than a higher ranked album.
i go simply by wholeness and stuff.
confield is perfect, i really hope they go a bit back to
that in their newest, spacey and more ambient.

Most every album has a special place somewhere in my mind. I
can't rank them side by side. It goes by what I've listened
to recently, and that would be ep7.

maybe i'll just post them in a list of most listened to

1. draft 7.30 (seriously this thing is so underrated and it
still seems like the most important autechre release to me
ever)
2. garbage (the fact it is called garbage is just crazy)
3. tri repetae

so much of their production (even pre-untilted) is still so
far ahead of most idm'ers that it'll take a decade or two
for people to catch up, or stop caring...

no but here's my list, albums only:

Confield
LP5
Untilted
Draft 7:30
Incunabula
Chiastic Slide
Tri Repetae
Amber

Yea, the top three for me is confield, lp5 and untilted,
hard to choose between the three.

im sure in some 10 or 20 years time they, along with a few
others, will be the only relevant idm producers as most of
todays production is totally generic and dull.

I put it there as a joke and so that both charts would have
10.

I predict Quaristice will rise at least into the top 5 when
I've soaked it in.

Confield sounds dated to you? That's pretty extreme.
Only Amber, Incunabula, and Basscadet sound dated to my
ears.

Even Tri Repetae feels like it could have been made
yesterday, if not in the future.

It's too early for me to place Quaristice in there, but
based on how I currently feel about it I'd place it in the
