my last sternly worded letter was to HSBC. i emerged from
the verbal battle as a bitter bank-hating man and without
getting what I wanted, what I was PROMISED

Is this that reclaimed bank charges thing? Apparently it
should be sorted out in the courts one way or another in the
next couple of months.

so if you go and buy a single 1 p sweet enjoy it..so then
buy another do this only 10 times ..

you'll be charged 300 pounds. + 10p + interest for 10 cola
bottles

I got a bank charge ages ago and I just walked into my
nearest bank (which was conveniently 3 minutes walk from my
flat) and said "you're going to give me the money back, and
increase my interest-free overdraft limit" and the guy said
"OK" and did it!!

Also I wrote a stern email to the government about my
postgraduate tuition fees being unfair and they agreed to
pay half.

so yes Good advice!!!

things i have learned about stern letters

- waste of time unless you are well into vouchers
- british gas offices are stocked by so many drooling
illiterates they are actually classed as a form of
low-security tard farm, with all the state subsidies this
implies

the end

I've had bank charges retracted before after writing letters
to my bank manager. most of the letters were h.s.t.
inspired.

I am an obsessive nasty letter writer and I have found the
best way to get what you want is to CC the head of the
company. When the person reads the CC it gets the job done.
If money is involved also CC a solicitor/lawer/notary even
if you have had no contact with them before. The letters to
the lawer always get a fast responce though, money grabbing
bastards!

actually I once emailed Prince's Foods after the microwave
meal i bought tasted terrible, just to let them know in case
it was a bad batch or something, and they posted me £4 of
Princes vouchers (really low cost ready meals brand here in
the UK, they mainly make tinned meats and fish etc)

Anyway the upshot was I bought £4 worth of steak pies and
they all taste like shit too.

hahaha good posts ( i like the email a solicitor at the same
time thing that would put the wobblies on em :)

and yes write to lots of product companies , say you hate
their batch of goods and get loads of free vouchers...then
sell them all on ebay. :P
