I hate Christmas

Ophecks from Nova Scotia on 2001-12-04 23:47 [#00058195]

I have an awesome family, that's why I like it. I can see
why it would suck for some people. I just feel lucky to have
what I have. So there. The commercialism gets annoying, but
who DOESN'T like jumping out of bed on a snowy morning to
find an electric guitar and other delightful goods under the
tree? I love it.

The_Funkmaster from Newfoundland, Canada on 2001-12-05 01:06 [#00058226]

yeah... "Oh, I'm such a deep person, I hate getting presents
cause there is so much suffering in the world!!!"

Bah, shut-up... Christmas rocks, it's the best time of the
year...

"I have an awesome family, that's why I like it"

yes alot of people do, not everyone. Not commercialism,
being the black sheep. Nuff said.

Ophecks from Nova Scotia on 2001-12-05 01:36 [#00058232]

Oh, I know what you mean. For people WITHOUT family, or
people with problems in their family, it sucks, and my heart
goes out to them. But I'm not one of them, and I'm not going
to let them make me feel guilty about enjoying the holidays.

1010-1111-10 from St.John\\\'s Newfoundland, Canada on 2001-12-05 01:39 [#00058234]

plez dont feel guilty! I dont want to be some downer! Enjoy
the holidays! The snow is nice adn snowstorms rock!

Ophecks from Nova Scotia on 2001-12-05 01:41 [#00058235]

You're not a downer, it's no problem. You make a good point,
no hard feelings.

I love Christmas... I feel happy, and at peace with
everything, and the world just seems great during
Christmas... and hey, if the commercialization of Christmas
has played some part in this, then what's so bad about that?

you thought I was going to say something else?) period there

psecial about christmas, not to be sniffed at.

i am a christian and thats why christmas is a FARCE IMO.
it's all about what prezzies YOU get. nothing about what
it's allegedly supposed to represent/be about.

it's origins are all pagan, i just wish they would stuck
with that, make it more honest.

it's a greedy holiday where it's all about ME ME ME.....the
only thing i enjoy is the twinkling lights.
