So this is it huh? Xltronic randomly popped into my head for the first time in years, and apparantly I'm just in time to see it disappear forever. Oh well. Thanks for all the memories. I had a fun time here in the early 2000s. Discovered lots of great music. I don't know if anyone from back then is still around (morton? Nacmat? Ophecks? Qrter? Baron von picklefeet?), but I wish anyone reading this a nice day anyway |

i think it's just fine as the increasingly constricted warp bubble wesley crusher has trapped his mum in; actually fixing the board would destroy the purity of the shrinking microcosm. i actually stand by an idea i emailed phobs many years ago -- just, all recent 1000 posts or so get thrown into a raffle bin, if your number comes up, you get a token to create a new xlt account. while, admittedly, many of these will go to to dupe accounts, it's about the sort of gradual stirring in of new blood that would avoid ruining the beautiful level of recycled fart we've achieved here. |

i'll revive my older idea of invite tokens, like what.cd does. take anyone that's posted recently, and throw the names into a hat. give out three tokens per month. if you get a token one month you're not in the hat for the next round. postcount ignored; i don't need that many tokens and this isn't some GOP gerrymandering operation |
