You'll be wanting a DVD drive to play DVDs in mate, not a CD
drive ;)

pOgO: Are you on SS? Maybe I could DL the DIVX of army of
darkness? It's not the sort of film to be ruined by grainy
quality...

We have a perfect Div X rip of AoD, but it's not with us at
the moment, my mate has it. The DVD of the film is much
better anyway, comes with two versions and the Director's
Cut is much, much funnier :D

I want to get a boxed set with all 3 of them, but am I right
in thinking there isn't one because 3 different companies
made the films?

I may just wait till I have enough cash to buy them
seperately. Is the 3rd one out and out comedy- so OTT as to
not be scary like the first one?

offline pOgO from behind your belly button fluff on 2003-01-16 08:47 [#00516329]

Yeah !

The 3rd one is the best, and it's so different from the
other 2, V V funny !

Ash has so much more attitude, as you can imagine he's realy
pissed off with the whole thing now !

offline Jarworski from The Grove (United Kingdom) on 2003-01-16 08:48 [#00516332]

I'm not sure if three different companies made them. It's
entirely possible, since they were so out of money for the
first (and to a lesser extent) and second films that they
probably went with the first people that offered to
distribute it. It IS possible that a box set may appear
(different studios hasn't stopped some sets in the past) but
since AoD only just got released in the UK recently (more
than a year after the US version) it would have to sell
extremely well to warrant it.

The 3rd one is pretty much three stooges adventure comedy,
most of the scary bits were cut out (although there's one
cut scene on the dvd which is quite creepy). So basically
the films get less scary in order - and funnier in order
too.
