offline glass_eater from a blind nerves area (Switzerland) on 2003-01-01 10:36 [#00497371]

mmh i think they keep it to english, but thats a possibility

offline neetta from Finland on 2003-01-01 10:37 [#00497372]

damn
german makes everything sound so... cool

offline uzim on 2003-01-01 10:38 [#00497374]
Points: 17716 Status: Lurker

neetta > nope... the lyrics are in french (for the older
stuff, like l'eau rouge) and english (for newer
stuff, only heaven, second nature)...
sometimes both.

i used to think german wasn't a beautiful language... but

this :)

:Wumpscut:

offline Spookyluke from United States on 2003-01-01 11:14 [#00497415]
Points: 1955 Status: Lurker

Bleah! Wumpscut is so incredibly over-rated. Beyond Boses
Jeunges Fleisch (Evil Young Flesh) the large body of his
work is terrible! It's all 4/4 time, roughly 5:00, has one
unchanging drum loop (usually very simple), some lame synth
arpeggios, recognizable sci fi samples, the same grumbly
vocal style, plain lyrics. And Wreath of Barbs is awful,
too. Worst industrial record I've heard in a while. Rudy
thinks he's so intense that it gets boring fast. Surely,
others will agree. Wumpscut is almost as vapid as
Rammstein. ;) I could do a song in that sytle in one day!

Check :

Turntablerocker - A little Funk
No Melody
German House/BigBeat

La Boom - We like la La Boom
Cheers
greart german electronic

Anyone heard of Hans Platzgumer ?
Hes making all kinds of electronic music since the 80ies.
His new album "Software" and especially the track Chebba are
just banging.

Vert - The Köln Concert
Electronic interpretation of Keith Jarrets
legendary concert. Hes releasing on Mouse on Mars "Sonig"
label !

Its really worth checking that ! ;P

Oh Ja ! Deutsch klingt einfach unbeschreiblich cool und sexy
Neeta.
Besonders Rammstein !

Ruins - Japanese duo; bass and drums. Crazy.

Pop Will Eat Itself - British industrial/rock hip hop from
mid 80s to 95 (when they broke up). Clint Mansell was a
guitarist and vocalist in this band.

Mono - Another Japanese band. The Japanese Mogwai,
basically. I like them more than Mogwai though.

CKY (Camp Kill Yourself) is a good band not too many have
heard of. They got more famous thanks to Jackass on MTV and
the CKY films.

Yeah I know what you think : Just another mainstream rave
artist but Richard (how his close friends call him) but some
tracks on b-sides are ..well experimental...
His rave version of Last Christmas was a little bit
commercial thats true but check his other styles..
