no the last track just stops. theres no gap or anything.
Think it'l be a weird one to find like on EP7.
Reason I asked cos I read a read a review of Twoism in
Jockey Slut and they said it had a hidden track

It's "1986 Summer Fire" and it's at the end of Smoke's
Quantity - See the BOC discography for the end time of
Smokes Quantity, then listen. It's a very quiet, faint
melody, so you may want to try turning up the volume or
listening with headphones.

Theres also a very quiet track about 10 seconds long just
before iced cooly. There is what sounds like a similair
synth patch but I think it's a different track altogether.

I tell you man that Boards of Canada album - shit, pure
shit. In my opinion all the tracks should be hidden - well
hidden.

bill_hicks: forgot your pill?

Heavy rotation for Twoism on my stereo, but yesterday I
suddenly realized that the cd was black, like those
Playstation games? Why? Some copy protection?

:) i didnt like geogaddi too much after enjoying MHTRTC for
a few years

offline Rubicon from Manchester (United Kingdom) on 2002-12-09 07:42 [#00474517]
Points: 617 Status: Lurker

I think thats where people get dissapointed in Geogaddi,
they always compare it to MHTRTC. I agree that Geogaddi
doesnt have the same immediate appeal as MHTRTC but i cant
say which is my fave, i like them both cos there both
different and both have strong and weak points.

I love MHTRTC.. Geogaddi bores my tits off.. MHTRTC has a
perfect mix of melancholic melodies and nice sounds..
Geogaddi is just not very gripping..

twoism, however, I like. basefree: mmm.. :)

and seeya later ofcourse, but we already had that one..

offline bob from Nottingham (United Kingdom) on 2002-12-09 08:07 [#00474535]

i think that twoism is ok.
but to all those who slate geogaddi, isn't it better to have
more boc stuff that doesn't quite live up to its
predecessor, than not having a follow up? yes, i agree that
a lot was expected from this album, but do you really think
that they could have bettered it?

who really could have bettered it? none of
us................................xxx

But actually my fav is twoism...

I just love the synths in it...

thanks for trying to convert me to geogaddi, cos obviously i
dont have my own mind, thnakyou ;)

not trying to convert anyone here...

I just love Geogaddi.

personal tastes.

Maybe its because I got them both at roughly the same time,
so I didnt have huge expectations for Geogaddi?

oh oh! Has anyone heard the bonus track for Geogaddi thats
only on the japanese version? i got an mp3 of it... its
awesome!

Every single one of their "tunes" follows the exact same
procedure. Speaking as a published musician myself I find
their work to be rather uninspiring and derivative.

what have you done.
and as a musician could you have bettered mhtrtc, or would
you have come out with "shit, pure shit" that you belive
geogaddi to be also?

offline Zeus from San Francisco (United States) on 2002-12-09 08:34 [#00474568]

ps. there are plenty of publish musicians that suck.

I don't need to prove myself to you plebs. There's a lot of
IDM that I appreciate and have incorporated into my own
work, especially my last two albums.

obviously you do need to prove yourself, or else you wouldnt
have even mentioned being published.

i love all boc releases, but i'm more intrested in the old
rare copy releases ... i just have an one minute low quality
cut from "wouldn't you like to be free ?" and it's so
beautiful ... it's impossible to find them, sadly..

you can critsize, but dont make yourself sound all high and
mighty, with a trivial peice of information, that really
makes no difference.

i believe its right to be able to criticise other things,
but i for one don't appreciate being called a "pleb" by this
guy. do you? he says we are all "pleb"s.

funny how people who attack BOC often sound like miserable,
griping, failed artists.

i bet Bono from U2 would say Autechre was noise, and RDJ
sucked...

is he right? No. its his opinion.

But wait! hes a published musician! he MUST be right then!

offline core from London (United Kingdom) on 2002-12-09 08:50 [#00474600]

actually U2 are fans of aphex etc

because someone is a published musician, that means his
opinion is more relevant than someone elses. why not be a
politician cos you know better than everyone?

"Midas Touch is an amazing track.."

Midas Touch is not BOC. The first track off MASK500 with the
playground samples and blatantly obvious BOC melody is the
Hell Interface track.
However, Col. Abrams Trapped is heavily sampled by BOC/HI on
MASK200.
