albums gone stale

you know the drill,.. you first hear an album, it touches
you deeply, you beleive that never again will anything reach
you in the way that this album has, and then, after 2 weeks
of listening to it pretty hardcore, you know everything, and
it loses something,. you no longer have any desire to listen
to it, and it sits in your collection as only a reminder of
where the album once took you,..

has an album ever done this to you?

AT - ICBYD, still a great album, but no longer "special".

NOW - Car Boot Soul, has gone from very good to mediocre in
my opinion.

In the words of the Spice Girls, "Things will never be the
same again..."

Eiffel 65 - Contact. I had to wait a year for that. I loved
it and still do but it's done with for me. (No, it fucking
does not have Blue on it ok?)

All |\| | |/| too. I have most of their stuff and it
gathers dust these days. Some more too but bleh..

yeah, just leave them a while, completely forget about them,
then bring them out, and memories come flooding back :-)

i don't listen to NIN as much as i used to either... but
it's not after two weeks, i have it for, i don't know, over
one year at least.

i still think 'ruiner' is the greatest track ever.
but the downward spiral doesn't effect me as much as it used
to.

it's about the NIN albums i've got first... stuff i've got
later i still listen to it.

i must confess that i just bought prodigy-experience again
(don't like all the other releases though), i had it when i
was little but sold it, now i bought it again -> brings back
old memories

funny thing is that in their respectlist in the booklet
'aphex twin' is also added

i didn't even know him back then
now i do :)

yeah i know what you mean i listened to hardfloor tb
recusitation the other day for the 1st time in about 8
years. it really bored me. i loved that album when it
first came out.

you should start a thread for albums that NEVER get boring.
druqks, amber, blue lines are a few for starters....

Definately Kid A, althought I DO still love it. The same may
happen with Endtroducing... if I'm not careful.
