How many of us here care about sports? Probably not many.
But a quarter of my brain is dedicated to useless hockey
knowledge and stats, and I study hockey books and magazines
like they're nuclear physics, and I get pissed off when I'm
watching a game and I fuck up on a stat. I play all these
ridiculously in depth hockey manager simulators. And there's
a game downtown on the pond right now and I want to go down
and play, but I have shit to do. I want to go knock some
teeth out and play my typical Mike Peca/Jere Lehtinen/Craig
Conroy solid defensive game.

So, any of you dorks into sports? :-p

I also cried like a baby when Saku Koivu came back from
cancer, when the Habs were ousted by the Canes, and when the
Canadians won the gold medal. And when Maurice Richard died,
and when the Forum closed down. What a pussy.

I like Judo and fencing. That's about it.

I used to like canoeing and was quite good at it for my age
(when I was 12 I beat several 16 year olds in a slalom...)
and I windsurfed for a bit.

These people who seem to think sports are a viable
alternative to education are buffoons. Similairly
people who lock themselves in a lab and can't even do a
press up need to get out more.

There, I think I managed to alienate most people...

I'm giving my blades & hockey stuff to a friend. I don't use
them anymore. Still, roller hockey was fun when I was
younger...

I was captain of the soccer team in highschool. I don't
know why I hear about what a pussy sport it is all the time
- we kicked the shit out of the goons on the football team
more than once.

cabbog, its definatly not pussy... well at least as far as
the fans go!

<--- lived in Rome. They are NUTS!

There was a section at the soccer stadium designated for
fighting. Like, people from both teams would go there, and
throw shit at each other and fight and stuff. Its nuts!

I loathe sports. Especially watching them. The fun is if one
partakes in the play instead of passively watching. I am a
kung fu instructor, but that's not a sport.
