yesterday i sat in my room and i was listening to come to
daddy really loud. i didn't notice that my mother came in my
room and she stared at me and listened to my music. she
wanted to destroy my vinyl and i had to talk to her for two
hours that i'm not psycho or something. did something like
this happened to you ?

I think your mom just thinks that the music has a bad
infuence on you. Just say that the music doesn't affect your
behaviour and she should be ok with it. I've seen similar
situations...

No probs over here.
I think she loves the fact that I'm different than the
rest.

Now next time when she comes in, make sure goon gumpas,
beetles or bubububa is playing! ;)

Yeah parents freak out sometimes. Remember in their
generation the Rolling Stones were considered "evil" and
dangerous...!

At least she hasn't found all the LSD and animal porn yet.

Maybe if you told her why aphex made that track (correct me
if I'm wrong).

I read somewhere he recieved a letter from a fan with "I
want your soul" in it.
Thats how come to daddy was born.

listening to come to daddy " ??

I am quite careful with listening to loud "anti-parents"
music. My mom would doubt my sanity too if she heard come to
daddy, ventolin or that cacophonesque end of 54 cymru beats.
I usually listen to them with headphones or with low volume.

My parents were used to me listening death metal.
I guess me picking up electronic music made them happier
maybe?
I dont know.
They respect most of my choises, as I do respect theirs.

My mom always walks into my room tapping her feet and acting
like she's into Autechre, it's so fucking ridiculous. She
oozes uncoolness.
