does this equation have anything to do with the track? Is
there meybe an artcle about this?

The equation looks like it could be some sort of
statistician's equation.

the solution to the equation is the fft of the track

this is actually well funny reading the posts, you can do a
good fft analysis on cooledit pro btw......oh and that track
is great! I think its the only track rdj has done with
equations in it..he said something like he does it for the
feeling and maths can be manipulated to fit
anything.....very true....i stop now before rambling again

When I first saw the equation title, to me it looked like a
message or title containing "Aphex Twin", not an equation
used in creating the song.

http://theaphextwin.com/discography/Images/equation.gif

In particular, the last chunk of the equation after the +
sign looks like Fextin, or Afex Twin. Sort of like an
anagram of his name, like lots of other songs (Xepha, Wax
the nip, Acrid Avid Jamshred, etc.).

But later i also bought the windowlicker-ep... and it's

i'm sorry, but what do you mean when you say "redom"?

I'd love to be entertained by this song aswell :-D I don't
listen to the ep much because i can't stand the
equation-track... but the other 2 songs on there are really
wonderful.

cos the rythm in this equation track is like u can catch it

I have been slowly building up my coding skills. I am mostly
self taught (reading books and the internet...) but I have
been taking a few classes in javascript and c++ recently, I
have never come across fft. Can some one sum up what it
does? is?

the fourier transform, in essence, decomposes or separates a
waveform or function into sinusoids of different frequency
which sum to the original waveform.

it hasent really got anything to do directly with coding.

the equation itself doesn't mean anything...made up
basically...

It cropped up at Slashdot when the hidden face got
higlighted by Wired (about a yr after it was first
found...)...

For me it sounds like "Tack! Tack"
It is swedish for "Thanks" or "Thank You"
It is deffinetly a "T" sound in the begining of the word.
Whicked track! The sounds are still fresh today i think.
Lots of artists have tried to copy the style but that is the
original Math track yo!

don't if the equation stands for anything, but it looks
cool!

the track sounds like filler though, only here for the
hidden faces... i prefer vaz deferenz (which i don't love
but still kinda like, and everyone seems to hate it).
