Does anyone know the actors name that plays the character
in the film?
I haven't seen him in anywhere else and was wondering has he
made something other than that film, oh well, probabaly not,
but i'm just curious.
Anyway, i didnt really like the film, but thought he was the
only interesting character, atleast he was portrayed the
best and how i imagined when i read the book.

Robert Carlyle is pretty good in everything he does, the
highlights for me are Trainspotting, The World Is Not Enough
and Face.

Riff-Raff is a marvellous film

I've got Riff Raff on video. It's got loads of well-known
British actors. Love that film.
Plunkett & McClane (is that right?) is supposed to be very
good. Didn't like The Full Monty, just didn't do it for me.
I thought Trainspotting was great though.

He's a good actor but seems to pick mediocre films. He was
good in Ken Loach's 'Carla's Song'. Saw him recently in
'Once Upon a Time in the Midlands' too.

Ricky Tomlinson is greta in Riff Raff, when he gets collard
having a bath by the muslims, great stuff

OUATITM got crap reviews (read them while in Telford
coincidentally).

Ricky Tomlinson's great in Playing The Field as well (about
a girl's football team) and not forgetting the Royles.

well thats what I mean.. he's more egocentric in the book,
which makes him more of an asshole to me..

earthleakage: its not that hard. if you stick at it you
quickly learn the slang.

I've read it three times.. I couldn't stop reading it when I
started.. I think one of the things that makes it so
addictive is exactly the slang, ye ken?
