I Am the Sniper! Muahahah!
Not really, but I wouldn't mind having his gun...

Has this been brought up before? I'm amazed if it hasn't
been.

I wouldn't be shit scared (hard to keep it in your mind all
the time) but fuck, any loud noises/gunshots near me walking
down the road and you wouldn't see me for dust...

I think shit like this and the Bali bombing, Sept 11th etc
is just gonna get worse and worse and worse

nah, there isn't more violence than before, just more and
quicker newscoverage. neetta did a thread on this subject
yesterday.. I'll see if I can find it and bump it for your
pleasure, Jarworski.. ;)

I wouldn't be out shooting innocent people if I had a gun
like he does. I think he should be sniping prison inmates
or something along those lines...

thing about guns is (putting on my serious-cap now..), they
are devices made specifically for the incapacitating if not
killing of people.

don't like that..

Scary shit man!
I heard he left a note to the police saying something like
"Dear mr policeman , i am god"

We had a sniper here in sweden in the early 90's.
John Ausonius , he was nicknamed "Laserman" because he used
a laser aim.
He was a nazi psycho and the target was imigrants and people
with foreign bakround.
Eventho i am 100% blond swede it was scary times walking
around the streets , you felt naked and wonerable.
I can't even begin to imagine how people with darker skin
felt.
I guess thats what they get off on , the power of causing
all that fear and terror.
He got caught tho and is serving a life sentence.
He claims he has found jesus now and is trying to shorten
his sentence....fat chance!!! Once a psycho always a
psycho!
People like that don't just get cured , it is a part in
their brain that is missing.
It can be caused in their early baby state if they don't get
enough care or human contact , they don't develop the
Compasion part of the brain.
You can explain and teach a psychopat that murdering
stealing lying and so on is wrong and he can accept that but
he can never ever understand why.
Atleast thats what i have read.

Imagine being totally innocent and minding your own
business, and being shot by him! Infuriating to think about
it, the son of a bitch.

I'm surprised this hasn't happened sooner, though. If he's
good, it's going to be VERY hard to catch him. Hell, from
the top of my house, I could shoot somebody downtown with a
sniper rifle, I live on a big hill and have a clear view of
hotels and everything. It's easy. He's got quite the kill
count, he probably thinks he's going to go down in history
as some demented hero. Can't wait till they catch him/her.

one of the most recent shootings happened near were i grew
up.

i grew up in stafford VA, and there was a shooting at
spotsylvania mall. This is the mall i went to ALL the time
as a kid. its only like 10-15 min drive from my house. ive
been in the store that the lady who got shot walked out of

its so fucked up

and what pisses me off is the fucking media. they are like
"its obvious that the sniper is watching tv. we reported
that school were safe, then the next day he attacked a
school. then we reported this area was safe, and then he
attacked it. now, lets go talk to the police and see what
thier stratagy for finding the sniper is"

WHAT THE FUCK

i hate the media

if I was on the East Coast, i'd want to shit my pants
filling my car up with gas and the like.

Iono man, he basically works M-F and kills one a day.
Another one today.......that is 11 victims with 9 kills.

Dunno if they have more information than they say, but shit,
so far the public knows NADA. Still runs 24/7 on CNN and
the other all SCARY news channels.

You'd think he'd be more clean cut about things. Not
leaving shells and evidence like the card. The white van
seems a bit suspicious too. You'd think if you were to
snipe someone, you'd take more precautions. I give him 3
more days until he's caught. Unless he dumps the van. If
he gets rid of that he might be able to go another 2 weeks.
He seems to be quite limited by the range of his gun though,
so I'm sure he'll be caught soon enough.

Hate to be the Devil's advocate, but I know that I (and
probably a whole lot of people) have thought "I wonder if I
just went out and started shooting people, how long it would
take them to catch me" Now I know the answer-- A long time.

I think the whole thing is kinda interesting. Sorry, I know
thats insensitive and stuff. But, It's the truth...

If he shoots me or someone I know, I'll change my attitude.
And I'm not looking for more people to die or anything like
that.. I just think it's interesting.

mm.. it'll probably be a little more complicated..

maybe there is no rational explanation for his actions.
human psychology is very complex - there never is 1 reason
why someone does something, all kind of factors are in play.

i'm w/ pomme de terre. i find this whole thing hella
interesting, and i'll take it a step further - i find it
artistic as well. as you can see in the "from" field next to
my name, i live in the area where he's shooting people. in
addition, i have the utmost respect for human life - no one
should be killed, even criminals. however, i also appreciate
the aesthetic of it all. when's the last time a SNIPER was a
mass murderer? propz to mr. shootybangbang for shaking
things up a little in the dull, bomb-drunk, racially or
religion motivated world of terrorism.

It gives him the option of pleading insanity if ever caught

Course, he could actually be a loony

there is absolutely art in the random killings. it sucks to
glorify a killer, but for the sake of explaining myself:
he's rejecting the notion that people murder only for
political, social, or personal reasons. his message: nothing
(or no one) is safe. almost dadaist?

i think he's either very calculating about the whole thing
or just totally crazy. and i agree w/ jar's hypotheses. the
card and the "i am god" message are far from original, in
fact that's pretty contrived. it serves its function in
scaring the masses though, which i think is his overall
intent (whoever he is).
