But most likely Nu Metal

People don't seem to need to know about the kind of music I
like to make judgements on me... I'm just considered weird
regardless. I don't usually listen my kind of music around
anybody, mostly it's all in my room... so my FAMILY thinks
I'm insane because of it.

offline Murray from Southend, Essex (United Kingdom) on 2002-10-05 14:25 [#00393716]
Points: 4891 Status: Lurker

My family just accept it

They actually think ive got really good taste in music, i
will personally give any musical taste a try.

Just wait till we get a CD player i nthe car and i
'accidentally' slip on Venetian Snares - Sybian Rock LOL

I listen to IDM in my car with the windows down...i'll
listen to it around others and ive shown others hopeing
they'll get into it. i dont know. im not emabarresed by
it...but yeah i do feel that once you either say 'europe',
'experimental' or 'electronics'...they instantly judge you
saying stuff like how dumb it is. as if all music needs to
be known by them. also im just getting fed up how many
people instantly think techno comes from europe. to them
europe = techno. makes me sick...

offline titsworth from Washington, DC (United States) on 2002-10-05 15:57 [#00393818]

i play idm on my show hoping people will get into it. from
what i've heard, more have gotten into it than have been
turned off!

offline Amonbrune from Vancouver (Canada) on 2002-10-05 15:59 [#00393822]

exactly. if people are exposed to the RIGHT music, im sure
they'll click into it. you know from some of the people
i've showed who have turned out not to exactly like it they
do end up saying how 'interesting' it is...in a good way. i
think thats nice to say.

...and another thing-- I too drive in my car bumping some
spazzed out tunes hoping to influence others but I think in
the end I'm really causing more accidents on the road due to
the properties of this music that causes neural synaptic
disruption in the thought processes of other drivers--who,
when forced to listen to squarepusher or autechre, cannot
handle the sheer intensity of this music and eventually lose
all control of every appendage in their bodies--arms
flailing out the window, mouths foaming and eyes in
transfixed euphoria.
