Loveless is a great album to start with. It's also essential for any collection. |

Now that I've had time to give them more listening, Loveless has turned out to be my least favorite MBV album... I find it too noisy. Isn't Anything and Ecstacy and Wine are more to my liking. |

I like the noisiness of loveless, but I'll agree that compositionally it's not the best. For example, I really am not a huge fan of some of tracks, and I can't stand 'Sometimes' no matter how hard i try to like it.. ugh!! It IS unmateched in some respects though.. 'Touched', 'I Only Said', 'Blown a Wish'.. divine.. 'Isn't Anything' is tops though.. every track is great. |

Anyone who likes early MBV should check out Jesus and Mary Chain's "Psychocandy" as well. |
