Yes- floops seems to be the best "all in one" IDM creation
package from what I hear...

I agree that reason rocks, however I think the drummachine
is somewhat limited when it comes to placing the instruments
imo.

Reason is great but takes time to learn how to create the
beats that are in your head within the program.

usually takes three of four of the drum machines

A few drum machines and constant step changing seems to do
the trick.

I use Reason 2 exclusively.

I plan on expanding as money allows, but for now It fits all
my needs.

The only issues I have with it are it can over load my comp,
but thats just cause I only have 320 megs or RAM.

As soon as I get my power book with 1 gig of ram, this will
not be a problem.

(and when I say over load... this is like using 5 synths, 4
samples, and 60 effects units)

Yeah I've started using Reason too. Do you use Recycle with
Reason as well? That's pretty awesome for screwing around
with beats although I haven't plumbed the full depths of it
at all yet.

My main gripe with Reason (v1) so far is the lack of decent
virtual fx units - apart from that I'm having a right laugh
with it.

Reason is such a great program.

If any of you nautilis fans are here, you can hear it in his
tracks (ie, 666 and 777 off of sketches possibly many
more...).

I definatly think loads of compression and using rewire to
slave it to another sequencer is a must to get the most out
of Reason

Yay!

Anyone have any problems with the proggie? Mine seems to act
up every nowand then.
Like, the drummachine starting to mute all channels
automatically or it keeps changing the knobs and stuff.
In the matrix pattern sequencer the same thing. It sometimes
just switches patterns by itself, where I didn't ask for it.
Anyone with the same problem?
