great chiastic slide style drippy drill percussion, nice melodic parts. progression could be a little better. love the little things going on the backwards. another classic Call track.

great track. It has a fairly similar feel of upfall, which is definately a good thing. Not quite as good but still great. You had some great other tracks too, do you have an mp3.com page with more or something? Also were you the creator of that one "koolaid man" song? that was awesome.

Thanks a lot for listening Titsworth. :)
w M w: Thank you too. This is actually a somewhat older song that I never finished all the way. I dug it out recently and added a few things to it. I see what you mean about it having similarites to upfall (eep) though... oh well. :)
Right now, this is the only page I have with music on it. I had thought about trying to find another site that would allow me to put more up though. How is mp3.com? Good, decent, bad? Are there any others that are good?
And yes, I helped create kool-aid man. That was for the Jacuzzi project I do with my friend. He played the guitars and I did the programming and cheesy casiotone vibraphone.

hey man, very nice track.
Production-wise, you had some really cool stuff goin on, but there was also a few things I did like about the production. I dont know how to describe it really. It feels alittle rough around the edges. I think if you could tighten it up, it would be a great track.
Overall is very enjoyable. keep it up!

Good job Clic, that stumbly falling beat and the distant melody was wondaba. When I listened to the song I invisioned a robot, with all these gizmo's and lights, some retro robot walking around the town happily, Yay!

I actually didn't really like it when i listened to the track this afternoon.
But i still remember another song you posted some time ago that i thought was really amazing.
So i wanted to give it another chance, and have now listened to this one a couple of times... and i must say it's starting to grow on me.
What i don't like so much is the rhythm. It stays pretty much the same throughout the song... i remember in that other track the constantly changing and evolving rhythm was one of the things i liked so much about it... which is probably why i felt let down by this one.
But i love the atmosphere of this track! The beautiful warm melody, and the little "bells" and other small sounds you seem to have sprinkled over it... :-) it is truly special... the more i listen to it, the more it gets to me.

Thanks guys.
Zeus: I think I see what you mean about it being a little rough around the edges. I didn't make that with a computer though, so I'll admit, it was a little hard cleaning up some things... but I like having some random messy things here and there.
Mickey: That's a fine visual. :)
Surrounded: I'm glad you at least gave it a few more listens. Thank you. :) As I said, the beat pretty much stays the same because I made it with a drum machine (used hardware for everything else too) and not with a computer, so it was kind of hard to make it evolve.

Never used Reason in my life. One of my friends does though.
I used one drum machine, one synthesizer and some effects. Recorded it into my 8-track.

Your music is alive.
It has veins. It has hair follicles. It has toenails. It's sentient..
I would love to see you play out live. You could cut the atmospheres with a knife, I'm sure of it.

wow.. both upfall and guilty structures are really great
i love the subtlety of the melodies and all the little details..and the atmosphere of course.. i think atmosphere is one of the things thats most important to me in music
i think upfall made a bit more of an impression on me.. but i like them both a lot
not to compare you with autechre or anything.. but i think these tracks are on par with, if not better than most of the stuff on confield..
the nice little mini track 'eo' was cool too
and its even greater to see youre using really minimal equipment to make such stuff.. at a time when most people seem to be relying on elaborate software/hardware

pro's of mp3.com: -you can upload as many tracks as you want -you can take away the download feature for any of your tracks so people will have to buy them (which is pointless since nobody ever will)
-you can make song descriptions and images
cons: -takes a week or so for a track to get "approved" by mp3.com (they all pretty much do, unless they're in "the wrong genre" in which case you change the genre and wait another week)
-you'll probably get 25k emails from mp3.com about stuff nobody cares about but they're not too frequent.
-128 k only

Pomme: Wow... thank you very much. Hopefully we'll be playing a show together sometime in the near future, eh? :)
Wayout: Thank you for listening to all three of them...
"i think these tracks are on par with, if not better than most of the stuff on confield.."
Whoa... that's a pretty hefty compliment... I really appreciate that. :)
Most of my stuff is made with those three pieces of equipment, but no, I don't make everything with just that stuff. I make some things with software, like eo.
