stevenson......INteresting to say the least....enjoy =0)

The body is a house of many windows: there we all sit,
showing ourselves and crying on the passers-by to come and
love us.

-Robert Louis Stevenson, writer (1850-1894)

Riddle me this:

What is neither inside the house, nor outside the house, but
no house is complete without it?

By complete cooincidence, I said this same exact thing to my
cat yesterday even though I've never heard it from Robert so
I should get half the credit. He can have the other half
because he thought it up independently too. Or more likely,
he traveled into the future (my yesterday), stole it from me
then went back in time to steal my fame as if he needed it.

i honestly don't know, i don't think so.

i was checking some quotes out and stumbled across this one.
i just found it QUITE out of character......for a writer i
thought i knew pretty well......

it's kinda a lonely quote......perhaps i shouldn't be
surprised, he did write robinson cruseo after all.....tee
hee

It actually strikes me as something William Blake could have
written. Very trippy.

Robinson Crusoe - you sure you aren't thinking of Daniel
Defoe? Or did a subtle joke just go whizzing over my head?

The ancient Poets animated all sensible objects with Gods or
Geniuses, calling them by the names and adorning them with
the properties of woods, rivers, mountains, lakes, cities,
nations, and whatever their enlarged & numerous senses could
perceive.

And particularly they studied the genius of each city &
country. placing it under its mental deity.

Till a system was formed, which some took advantage of &
enslav’d the vulgar by attempting to realise or
abstract the mental deities from their objects; thus began
Priesthood.

Choosing forms of worship from Poetic tales.

And at length they announced that the Gods had ordered such
things.

Thus men forgot that All deities reside in the human
breast.

- William Blake (1757-1827)

No wonder I have visions when I see human breasts. I see
the light! GOD IS A WOMAN!
