Anyone see him on the Newsnight arts review thinghy when
they debated that British MP´s statement about how hip'hop
is a cause in the increasing gun violence in britain?
Whoah... he was an idiot. From the head of Britains number
one satire publication, he seemed to know absolutely nothing
about the music industry and how MTV promotes the gansta rap
side of hip hop and ignores all the quiality shit out there.
Fucking moron! That other chap, Echo, said it like it was...
there is a hell of a lot more to hip hop than guns and
nobody slates Johhny Cash for mentioning wife-killing etc.
.... Ian you tit!

To be fair to Ian Hislop, he is a political commentator,
(and a good one at that), and doesn't profess to be an
expert on the music industry, nor gangsta rap.

So why does that make him a racist?

thats fair enough.... and i was a bit rash calling him a
racist cos he didn´t really bring race into it. Its just a
case of someone passing judgemnt on flimsy, media-orientated
evidense. Ha .. a bit like what i´m doing. oops

The whole debate is redundant anyway, or at least the debate
you hear in the tabloids is redundant anyway.

Music doesn't cause people to go shooting other people, nor
does film. Ozzy Osbourne and death metal bands are as
culpable as P Diddy (or whatever he calls himself these
days) or Ice-T, i.e. they're not!

If he (Hislop) repeated the tabloid argument, then I'd love
to get together with him and debate it, as I'd like to make
him look a bit silly, because it seems obvious to me that
its a load of bollocks.

Music doesn't kill people. People kill people. Ask a doctor.
It's a scientific fact.

Nobody ever has a go at christina aguilera for getting her
flaps out and singing about shagging either !!

If you think about the age group of people that listen to
her music, I think it's quite gross

I've never seen her get her flaps out it has to be said.

Pop music is the most corrupting genre of music in the
world, bar 5% or so. I wish all these criminals would start
liking pop music so it could get a little more bashing for
once.
