this is an interesting topic: i have my own thoughts, so i like learning other people's thoughts. one thing though, i do think there's a cognitive leap between disliking what people do in the name of God and therefore dismissing the existence of God. all the things that people have said about religion are partially true. people use God as excuses to behave poorly. people use God as a mental crutch. people start wars. people push their religious beliefs on others. people act holier than thou. etc. etc. but none of those, logically, mean that God doesn't exist. |
