ab3
anti ep
ventolin ep and remixes

jealous :-p

And i must admit i don't know any of the artist you're going
to buy tomorrow... but i can still share your happiness.

Buying one cd is quite an event... buying six is like...
ehr... well nothing compares really. It's just really great!
Enjoy the feeling! :-) (and the music)

today i received Fuenf Auf Der Nach Oben Offenen
Richterskala
by Einstürzende Neubauten and Man With
The Woman Face
by Nurse With Wound.

i recommend them both, they're very good!
the NWW is only 37 minutes long (for 3 tracks) though... far
too short, i'd have liked to hear more like this!
i read a review of ...richterskala describing the
album like "watching a stalker cleverly follow its prey for
miles, only to watch it shy away just short of lodging a
knife into the back of the followed". it's exactly like that
(and that's not a bad thing at all).

thanks hehe, should i feel happy about it? i get happy on
rare occasions when buying music-only when i get an havily
expected release
it happens a lot that i get more than 10 cds at the time so
six is not that big haha

nacmat and i were pretty close on that spelling :)

Maybe you are buying too much music (if such a thing is
possible).

If buying six cd's doesn't make you happy anymore... well...
then maybe you have gotten used to the feeling too much?

It sounds strange, but i'd rather buy one cd and be really
excited about it, than 10 cd's and not get a great feeling
about it.

On the other hand... like i said before, the musicindustry
will be really grateful for all the effort you're making to
save them ;-) They need more people like you! :-p

And yeah... you guys had already found all the right letters
:-) I had to experiment a bit with them too... but
eventually i realised jealous is the correct spelling.

Hey, wasn't i supposed to get some mp3-files from you?
(tolstoyed). I think a while ago you wanted me to hear some
music from an artist whose name i forgot :-$ Or am i
confusing you with someone else?

tolstoyed > do you have any E.N or NWW yet?

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2003-01-08 17:21 [#00507115]
Points: 50073 Status: Moderator

hehe, im not getting excited buying it
i get excited later-if i get into certain music, i mean
there are albums that i get totally into and there are some
that i just listen too
its hard to hear it "right" the first time, you have to give
it more attention to see if its good-at least this is for
me
so basically i buy stuff that sounds cool when i listen to
it in the shop, and than later it just clicks or not
hmm, im not sure about mp3s, i remember something but i
really have a mess in my head at the moment
i think we were speaking of some movies first-something
about titanic if im not mistaken :)

surrounded > i'm with you on this... i prefer buying 1 or 2
cds, maybe 3, but i think more would spoil it... maybe i
would have too much to really concentrate on each one? i
don't know...

maybe it doesn't seem reasonable either, if i get other
envies after and don't have enough money - i prefer buying
only the cds i'm sure i want, i never buy cds blindly
without reading any reviews/hearing any samples. :)

tolstoyed > einstürzende neubauten is my favorite band
now... it's industrial, but their releases can sound really
different - their 80's sound was most noisy and primal,
their 90's is much more refined... if you want to download
some tracks i recommend you
Kalte Sterne
Yü-Gung
Feurio!
Haus Der Lüge
MoDiMiDoFrSaSo
Sabrina

as for NWW it's a bit like Coil, experimental... hard to get
into, it depends of the tracks though. but it is rewarding
if you like the style. :)

"i think we were speaking of some movies first-something
about titanic if im not mistaken :)
"

lol, i remember that! Hehe... goodtimes. But i don't think
it was celine dion you wanted me to hear ;-) I'll have to
think about that some more... i'm sure it was something...
hm...

And ofcourse i have the same experience with buying music...
i hardly ever like what i hear the first time i listen to a
new cd. It takes a long time for me to get used to the
music, and eventually -like you say- it either clicks or it
doesn't.

But still i get excited when buying new music ;-)
I mean you already know specific which cd's you're going to
buy... so you must know something about these artists
already, maybe heard some of their songs etc... i would
imagine you'd be pretty excited of the chance of listening
to those new cd's...

I got excited over almost every cd i bought :-p Even the
ones that didn't click... that i hated after a while and
never play again. At the moment of buying i still thought
i'd like it, and that prospect got me plenty excited, hehe.

Hm... but okay... in that case i wish you much excitement in
a couple of days or weeks... when you've spent some time
with your new records, and might have fallen in love with
some of them! ;-)
