overrated?

it's all in your head. it's a matter of taste. what a silly
thing to discuss.

It's just that once after a i've listened to an AE record a
couple of times and the structures of their tracks are
becoming a little more clear to me...that's just an amazing
feeling...a mindfuck if you will...that's why it's so hard
for me to imagine that there are people who hate AE...oh
well

I used to think AE were incredibly overrated (although I
always thought vltrmx was pretty good). Since getting the
Skam "SMAK" sampler I have started to like AE a lot more. I
think it was too far removed from music for me to appreciate
before, but the smak sampler was a nice bridge. I still
think ae are only "good", but who knows, in time I may grow
to like them even more.

i think squarepusher is a lot better than ae and afx is a
lot better than squarepusher
boc is as good a afx but with less songs

i think afxes strong side is the sheer uniqueness of him and
his music. i think boc uses the most enjoyable sounds. i
think autechre has good melodies and is good in creating
moods. i have nothing to say about squarepusher. still i
can't say which one of these would be best.

fsol is better anyway. (j k)

Autechre's new stuff is too esoteric for you idiots who just
don't get it.

Go back to Aphex and them other imitaters who know fuck all
and who are way behind the reign of Ae.

wtf!!?!?

who is autchre being rated by in the first place?

in the grand scheme of music... autechre couldn't be more
under-rated!

only when autechre does the next pepsi commercial, and only
then, will i CONSIDER them being over-rated...

æ and afx are both masters in IDM

chiastic slide is the lamest attempt at an electronic song
ive ever heard. id rather hear a tetris remix. radiohead
is awesome but sumtimes they are just too depressing for me.

"well,,if i cant go foward, ill go backwards!...bring in the
harpsicord!"....

By the way: Chiastic Slide is an album.

"anyways well in ae's case its ez to come up with new stuff

you must have a twisted view of music if you think that the
more releases you have, the better you are...

by that logic, you should be a huge fan of Charlie
Landsborough!...lol

Fucking ridiculous.

haha yes charlie rules! but back to the topic so what ur
saying is if i came up with one album that might be
comparable to the twin then i would be equal to him? nope
sorry, its not that he has more, its that he has more better
er sumthin. do you surrender?

2 npoke:

Parhelic Triangle - not very musical, but it's sorta ambient
kind, like SAWII-[tree], and it's very athmospheric, so I
like it. Not everything should be absolute music.

Eidetic Casein - it HAS melody, it HAS rythm, it HAS musical
evolution. I recently gave my music teacher a listen of Ae,
and Eidetic was one of the few tracks she really called
'music'. BTW, I really like it.
VI Scose Poise - why oh why do you dis my favourite tracks
man? It IS music, one more time, and it is so mellow and
nice and organic, so go away and read some books about
music, and don't throw your words until you learn some.
