Where Would You Go?

If you won £5million, where would you go and what would
you do.

(and no, I haven't, so keep the begging letters)

Me, I'd live somewhere hot with a constant supply of
top-grade weed and a mail order supply of top quality tunes,
buy some property and rent it out, live off the proceeds
happily with my current GF.

Oh and I'd also get myself a top of the range studio and try
hard to make some decent music.

What about you lot?

To a really great record store. Then I'd go to another, and
another. Then Burger King, then some more.

I would stay here in Gothenburg, but spend weeks and weeks
on paradise islands.

Most importantly: I would rent/buy a dedicated place for my
music studio.

-P

put it all on my bank-account, and spend the rest of my life
living off the interest i get from it ;-)

4 or 5% of £5.000.000 is still something like £20.000 or
£25.000! I'm not sure what a £ is worth, but it seems like
alot ;-)

Then i can spend all my time on more interesting things than
work :-p

But i never buy lottery tickets anyway. So the chance of me
winning is 0%

Which is about the same chance you've got when you do
buy a lottery-ticket :-p

i'd buy a piece of land somewhere here in southern finland.
then i'd build a house for me and my fiance and we'd just be
happy, and i could study all the things i want and my fiance
would soon become the best bass player of the world and his
band would be famous and i'd have my own record label and a
studio in the house and a huuuuge room just for my art
projects! and i would have a room just for the cats. and a
moog voyager.

i would get a beautiful place out in the country, with
little bunny and foxes would pick me mushrooms and the sun
shines on the old pond and the fish will jump out of the
pont and onto the plate, and little birdies sing me songs
and take requests...

i´d try the interest thingie, after checking some heavy
sound equipment and records. then i´d save a year interest
and buy a nice place...
then ill go gambling the monthly interest,
buy firms, until i have enough to buy the opec, to finally
set free their bought patents which they are holding back.
with these i would make loads of money and save the planet.
then ill buy earth and name it after me.
after i got the world i would let all wolrds effort flow
into the developing of time-travelling and dine in the
restaurant at the end of the universe every evening,
drinking pangalactic gargleblasters...

what a great topic!!!!

I would buy a peice of land expanding from one horizon to
the next in a tree condenced forest, and chill with my
stereo and vegetable garden for the rest of my life in
blissfull solitude.

I would ask an architect to build me a modern (maybe in the
style of Frank Llyod Wright) sound proof house with enough
space around it to avoid complaints from the neighbors
....as I crank up the Sumo Class A amp, Perraux preamp,
invest in some 6 feet high panel speakers and a surround
sound system that can be turned on from any room in the
house...a home theatre.. a dance hall with an English Bar
like my grandfathers... A Lamborghini...a monkey...a small
independant record label with an outlet on the web...to keep
me occupied...and some music gear to keep hubby happy...

I would buy myself a table dancing club like the Bada-Bing
in The Sopranos.

Might be interesting to have an IDM night to see how the
girls perform with some Autechre on the go.

on second thought i would use the entire £5.000.000 to buy
thousands and thousands copies of the Druqks-album. Not only
in the netherlands, but in every country it's been released!
It would immediately shoot to #1 worldwide, and be played on
every radiostation etc... everyone in the world would know
aphex twin.

After that i would come back to this board and enjoy
watching everyone complain how Richard sold out and how his
music has gone downhill ever since he sold out ;-)
