What do you mean by ''too much effort''? Too hard to find
the rare stuff?

I miss Audiogalaxy... I could find bootlegged music by
Martians on there in no time.

offline Anus_Presley on 2003-01-02 06:12 [#00498436]

well forr a starrt its looking forr the stuff, then making
surre its the rright length, then waiting forr it to que and
nowadays forr some rreason my downloads stop, and just won't
rre-starrt. if i'm lucky and the songs not too long i may
download a full trrack sucessfully.

the slsk-guy told me that is not 100% sure that it's not a
fake.
still haven't heard it though

offline Morton from out (Netherlands, The) on 2003-01-02 08:08 [#00498634]

well how did he get it then..?
someone must have put them on the net.. (or made fakes
him/herself)

offline Cheffe1979 from fuck (Austria) on 2003-01-02 08:14 [#00498643]
Points: 4630 Status: Lurker

he told me that he got it from a guy in the idm room, he's
not sure though. i also found a text file on slsk, named
draft-info.txt with the following content:

4 songs from autechre's most minimal and pop oriented
release to date. following in the wake of confield, draft
7.30 further reveals autechre's exponentially accelerating
reinvention and is sure to stir up an unprecedented level of
controversy between their fans.

commentary and leak courtesy of <<>>

greetz!

however, i have no idea about the source or the reliability
of the info, so it's not that exciting methinks

yeah, could be, but it's not easy to fake ae, i'll give it a
close listen when i have it.
in an hour or so

but if they were done by sean and rob then they wouldn't be
fakes would they? tracks faked by the artists themselves.
how cool would that be? :D

the one from the pool party mix cd sounded a bit plain to
me...its just percussion really isn;t it? i need tune or at
least some nice chords or textures to make me listen
again...didnt like the snare sound really either. nitpicking
eh? well the new album sounds as if it will be cool. the
warp press release said something about hip hop
swagger"...autechre do hiphop real nice like! love the
scratching-ish noises on milk dx...

offline Netlon Sentinel from eDe (Netherlands, The) on 2003-01-02 15:03 [#00499115]

there's some very very soft synths on naftwa4 if you listen
insanely closely. but they sound as if they leaned on the
synthesizer by accident

the track on the new warp mix is dope... autechre's
interpretation of "grindin'" IMO

I'd really like Ae go to Lp5, Chiastic or even Incunabula
vibe... Please put your talent into music, not noise
experiments... BTW, those fakes (sudden roundaboot is really
nice for an Ae track hehehe SLU) may be some crappy
unreleased Ae material from 1993 or something...

offline Netlon Sentinel from eDe (Netherlands, The) on 2003-01-04 03:46 [#00501073]

hey i came across this track called a vide nook on slsk? i'm
queued but according to the full trackname it is from the
draft 7.30 promo. funny cause the title doesn't even look
like the ones phobia got. hmm prolly fake but who knows

offline steve mcqueen from caerdydd (United Kingdom) on 2003-01-04 04:38 [#00501096]
Points: 6574 Status: Addict

hahaha have you heard "theme of sudden roundabout"? sounds
like someone pissing around with a mc303... these aren't
even decent fakes, quite funny in their own little way -
just imagine if ae were to do confield, then gantz graf, and
then an album with this stuff on...

offline Cheffe1979 from fuck (Austria) on 2003-01-04 04:43 [#00501099]

i hope those really are fakes, i mean they are, well... bad

offline Cheffe1979 from fuck (Austria) on 2003-01-04 04:43 [#00501100]

but they sound ae-like at least

nah man, that business with the hiats in one track is
utterly uncharacteristic, imo. too cheap. not that they're
bad tracks, but a change of style like this would be too big
a 'sudden roundabout', surely

offline promo from United Kingdom on 2003-01-04 05:35 [#00501124]

Well if they go under the name of Autechre. Then Autechre
could jupe all the fakers and says thats our music 'cause
its our copyright because your using our name. And then they
could choose the best tracks and release them or maybe not.

HAHAHAHA!!! ok i finished downloading this track called a
vide nook. IT IS HILARIOUS!

it starts out sounding like autechre alright, cut up mess
and all, but it is in fact hit me baby one more time by
britney spears :D cut up real subtly.

well, i had a good laugh anyway, like the dude i got it from
probably had fun creating it :) good one!

a vide nook is not on the promo i think, though i believe
all those tracks are fakes, either

yes they are fakes, my message kinda implied that. it's
either a fake or draft 7.30 contains remixes of pop stars
such as britney spears ;)

NOOOoooo They are not fakes and these are the worst tracks I
ever heard!!! FUck I hoped they were fakes because they
sucked but they aint :(
