flea mentioned Kiwis and I got to thinking

anyone here following the America's Cup at all?

I'm pulling for Oracle/BMW and their boat USA76

if you aren't familiar-it's like the big boat Olympics, if I
could compare to anything

in 2000, there was mad TV coverage, this year, nada. Makes
it hard to follow all the over here, but I try to keep up.


Anyway, maybe the Kiwis pay attention?

I'm sad 'cos Luna Rossa lost the Louis Vittuon Cup, this
year :(
I can't believe they lost against One World.

Anyway Alighi is really strong in this edition.

I don't know... between Oracle and Alighi I haven't
preferencies. Anyway I'd like that invincible Black Magic
will lose the American Cup, 'cos it would be a cool change
in this sport, imo.
Black Magic is really, really strong.

i know, they are going to be tough match again.

I'm a member of the San Francisco YC, which fielded
AmericaTrue in 2000.

I was rooting for Paul Cayard & AmericaOne though :)

Paul is back on with BMW/Oracle, and the i've at least been
to the Golden Gate YC, so they are my boys.

Would like to see it come home and watch the America's Cup
in the SanFrancisco Bay........oh the Golden Gate Bridge
would frame those races nicely.

whatever happens, we need to BEAT THE KIWIS!

I hoped a best lucky for Prada too.
Last edition Prada was really strong but Black Magic
destroyed our boat 5-0.

This year Alighi impressed me a lot.
Blatan, I think it will be hard to beat this swiss boat.

they are strong indeed, and the Louis Vitton Finals (January
11th everyone!)
should be a fine display of racing.

I do think our American boys have a chance, but low their
battle will be hard.
