I would think the original quote means that, if the person you love is not free (or happy) by being with you, then it is your obligation to release them from the relationship so they can be liberated. So your act would be the ultimate selfless act of love--but you probably all knew that and are just funning. |

every love is not "possessive" love... if you love a person, you'd want him/her to be happy... maybe if you love him/her really, you would sacrifice yourself in someway if that would make him/her happier... and you wouldn't want to possess your beloved, but to make him/her happy, and free (which doesn't mean you'd not hope him/her to love you!)... |
