history of christmas.

started out as a pegan holiday, and king constantine didn't
like his people celebrating their pegan holiday because he
was christian so he decides "I know, I'll tell them it's
jesus birthday and they have to celebrate it" which he just
pulled that day out of his butt really.
it's more much likely jesus was born in june so I've been
told.

so christmas started out pegan, became christian through a
lie, and is now based on greed. how fitting.

yes, that is rather fitting. The tree came about by the
converting of old Germanic tribes who worshipped trees.

Is there a connection between what John said and the LOTR
DVDs? I haven't got them so I'm not being facetious.

Of course santa likes coke! How else is he to travel the
globe delivering gifts in just a single night!

the encyclopedia explains a lot about the REAL origins of
all the christmas 'thingies' like santa claus, the tree,
exchanging gifts, etc.

and most pagans know that it is a pagan holiday dressed up
to be a christian one. so are most so-called christian
holidays....so many of the traditions, etc..are pagan in
origin.

tis interesting to read about it....=0)

Same with Easter , it comes from the european heathens
celebrating "Eostre" , a germanian godess in the spring.
Christian misionaries moving among the rugged pagan tribes
after Rome fell created alot of fusions , and i don't blame
them hehe! Killing christians was a popular hobby at the
time , best to go gently with the teachings.
