Just change the file type to open to "*.*" then load that file as a sample or pattern. You get a bunch of noise, but you can pull some neat sounds out of it for sure....

Ahhh.. rightyo that old thing...
I remember the best noise I ever got out of doing that was with a file from the game 'Monkey Island'
The file was MONKEY.VGA ....

There is something wicked with the memorymanagement too it you want it realy fun, i remember working on a normal song, saved it and the accidently pressed on some image i think in the filemanager and then ofcourse got a lot of noises as instruments BUT some of them where also weird noisy versions of the samples that i had used in the previous song. Realy cool to play with.

I think i now remember that it wasn't a image, it was a big sample i had used in the previous song, but true true, the sounds where realy nicely distorted.

there are actually a few weird things you can to to fuck up fasttracker and end up getting interesting results.
what a cool little program. FT3 was going to rule before it died..
