does anyone else read the music teletext pages ok UK TV,
channel4? p161?

they have a section where people can leave random messages
about their thoughts on music.

Last week there was a message going on about how Confield
was a complete load of shite, up its own arse etc etc.

and today theres one that says:

"Venetian Snares may have rhythm, but he is like
Squarepusher and Autechre up his own arse. The whole
braindance scene is for pompous geeks. Scene darling Aphex's
music is irritating, soulless and rubbish"

yeah, it's sad that whole "Music made by Machines" snobbery
you come up against with electronic music...people need to
open ther ears & souls a bit, I feel...

(altho I must admit I'm a total snob when it comes to
rock...i.e. most is sheer guitar wankery...)...

i read p161 most days. i'm reading it now. spiritualized are
releasing a rarities (whatever that means, prolly b-sides

yeah most is guitar want but some of it is good (*cough*
radiohead *cough*)

and venetian snareas has NO rhythm!!! its just a jumbled up
mess!! good for a headfuck though dont ya think.

i heard bits of 'winter in the belly of' and it sounds
ok.... the rest of his stuff is toooooooooooooo mental for
my little brain.

Hate the new setup - it was much better before they moved
