I have a problem when using the redrum drum machine, when i copy the pattern to the track it isnt quite the same as when i play it directly from the machine. it seems to play the beat short and choppy, like its not playing cirtain settings i have made to the redrum.
Can any of you reason users out there help me ?

It takes far too much time, I get better results with FruityLoops. Plus it has a stupid name. But what ever lights your lemon. Toasts your bread. Fly's your kite. Floats your boat. Takes your fancy.

Check the note-lenght in your pianoroll... maybe the notes are too short and not all of the sample is being played

Reason 2 is the shit!
Goon uses Ableton Live, erm ... live and Reason 2 for making his tracks.

never had that problem with reason2. check that you aren't quantizing the notes when they are in the sequencer.
This may result in them being truncated.Try playing around with the knobs on the redrum as well(might not fix problem, but can help make a tighter mix and different sounds)
I have no problem with reason, its not the "be all and end all", its just a tool. i use floops as well as reason and cubase and cooledit and reaktor, etc. It is good at what it does. A great tool, but like any good craftsman you need a variety of tools to get the job done well.

thanks folks, much appreciated, I think what you suggested about quantizing might be the answer,
I'll let you know how it goes Thanks again

You may have the decay set to cut off. Make sure the little switch thing is set to the triangle and not the square.

Thanks scott, i changed the switches and it does play a bit more like what i wanted, but im still confused as to why it played soo differently when i copy the pattern to track, anyway. its better than it was so thanks very much folks

while you are programming your pattern the drum machine will be looping it, and when you copy it into the sequencer both the drum machine an sequencer play it...
that's what i thought the problem was anyways.
try turning off the pattern button on the redrum (if you havent already)
