do you know ETA?
they have killed more than a thousand people in the last 30
years in spain (I know its nothing compared to 11-9-01)
they killed again today... I am sad

they go little by little , one by one... they dont have much
money so they cannot prepare a big thing like world trade
centre, but they have been killing for over 30 years now and
I am sick of it...

that sucks nacmat....

what is their motive?

i cant believe how many people have such a compliant
attitude towards terrorism....
("Oh but they're fighting for bla bla bla!
...and the government did this to them a while ago!" etc)
....nothing justifies deliberately killing civilians
imo.....

if nothing justifies killing innocent civilians, then
anti-terrorism efforts don't either

no they dont, of course not

and their goal isn't to kill as many civilians as possible,
is it?

i don't get that bryce.. you mean anti-terrorism efforts
also don't justify killing civilians..
no of course not, why should they.?

i think there's a difference between innocent civilians and
terrorists..

maybe i got you wrong, maybe you get me wrong..

no offense :)

gibraltar is a problem, but really people there is happy

ETA is a big problem... about 200000 people in the vasc
country vote for BATASUNA which is the political side of
ETA.

they kill cos they want to be independent... ridiculous

wanting independence is not ridiculous (even though it goes
opposite to the european direction) but it is ridiculous to
ask for it killing

no.... why?

the reason for killling (the real one) is not independence
anymore... it is money! yea ETA is a big machine of making
money... so it wont stop now... they like the business

It seems to me that each country has pockets of subversive
terrorists.

Weve had the IRA in the United Kindom since the early 20th
century and theyve killed nearly 1,800 people over a 25 year
or so period.

Thank goodness we have a ceasefire at the moment.

I really hope something can be done to stop ETA killing more
innocent people in Spain.

what I meant was that current anti-terrorism efforts, while
targeting suspected terrorists, also kill many civilians
many MANY more than we are probably told about

the ETA problem is similar to the IRA...
Jerry Adams has been here several times trying to explain
his methods for getting peace...
