"The Exorzist
Richard D James alias Aphex twin with "electronics the Abstrakt" Festival
Who has the maddest laptop? Naturally Richard D. James, which is not content with apples of the bar, but in the Pathos transport with "electronics the Abstrakt" Festival graceful designed designer equipment anstoepselt. Also the music, which the Guru from Cornwall publishes for ten years with its "Rephlex" label and even under the artist name Aphex twin, is not anything for average consumers. Like no second the blond Huene with the chest-long hair drove the abstraction of electronic sounds into radical extremes. Instrument alkene length, rhythm, clock and melody he exorziert from his non removable disks proper. The undirected dream worlds of the Surrealismus, the anarchy of the Punk, the rage of Speedmetal - James strengthens all with digital means.
Which sounds on CD at home wild and through-slammed, live grandiosen sense makes: In one and a half hours James increases the brew-sent Rappel in stringenter dramaturgy. If its Notebook concentrates bent in the rear hall corner over, he continues to force the ekstatische Trance ever - up to the final Breakbeat thunderstorm, which lets release the fans themselves explode to clock counters and in the armchair. Although its "Rephlex" pupils make Astrobotnia and Bogdan Raczynski formally little differently - so clarified and perfectly pointed if necessary still Cylob, the Opener of the evening presents itself. "Braindance" calls James its music. And the Hirne dances, which twitches bodies, the earth trembles."

The Exorcist
Richard D. James aka Aphex Twin at the "Elektrobik Abstrakt"-Festival (see ab.art.de)
Who has the best laptop? Richard D. James, of course, for whom Apples aren't enough. Instead he connects a nicely-formed designer's machine in Pathos Transport at the "Elektrobik Abstrakt"-Festival.
His music, which the guru from Cornwall has been releasing on his "Rephlex"-Label and also under the artist name Aphex Twin is also nothing for mainstream consumers.
Like no other has the blonde (he's red-haired! - patrik) giant with his chest-long hair pushed electronic sounds into radical extremes. He regularly exorcized instrumental sounds, rhythms, time signatures and melodies from his harddisk. The pointless dream worlds of surrealism, the anarchy of punk, the furiousness of speed metal - James exponentiates all of that with digital media.
Stuff that sound wild and crazy at home make wonderful sense live: In one-and-a-half hours James increases the booming noise with stringent dramatization. Hidden away in the furthest of corners of the hall, bending over his notebook, he keeps forcing the ecstatic trance further and further - up until the final breakbeat storm that makes the metronome explode (metaphorically speaking - patrik) and even the fans sitting on the sofas go mad. Even though his "Rephlex"-pupils Astrobotnia and Bogdan Raczynski formally don't do much different - Cylob is the one who presents with such clarity and perfection, the opener of the evening. (not true, Grant DJ-ed first, well maybe that doesn't count - patrik). "Braindance" is what James calls his music. And the brains dance, the bodies twich (or shrug - patrik), the earth tremors.

I posted a link to this review at www.dancecube.de (a german techno forum) and someone totally slayed the interview saying typical süddeutsche! A load of old rubbish.
He's true, there are a few bits of crap in there, like saying a Sony VAIO is more of a designer's machine that an iBook or PowerBook G4. Idiot!
And blonde hair? NO WAY!
