Worry about worrying

yeah, I worry about worrying.

I struggle to control it close to every moment of the day.

I worry if I will get all my work done.

Will I forget an assignment

Am I prepared for tests?

What about a pop quiz, did I read enough last night?

Did I take enough notes? no, why not more?
------------------
then I worry about gf. Why is she quite?

Is she mad?

Does she have something to say cuz she hates me?

Why am I so overbearing?

Why do I talk so much?
--------------------------------

I struggle all the time to focus on the task at hand. I do
what I have to do. If GF is mad, she will say so, I don't
need to worry, she likes me.

Who else worrys about worrying? It is enough to drive you
off a cliff sometime, especially in high stress siutations
like finals, and when you think your lady friend wants to
talk to you, but won't cuz she doesn't want to worry you.

ok, yeah, sharing is caring.

Worrying is a bottomless pit. You can worry about one thing
for infinity because there is limitless outcomes that your
mind can form. You have to learn to get the information,
ponder it, and put it to one side until you are confronted
with it. You can worry about something forever so save your
brains processing time and save yourself stress.

I think meditation would help you.

other peopel think MEDication would help.

do you really suggest meditation though, I need to learn to
focus inward, find the shit that bugs me, ponder it, and
move on.

I appreciate your advice, please help me figure out what
kind of meditation I can try.

btw: I know the bottomless pit thing.

You worry that gf is mad, so then you start thinking she
doesn't like you

then you think she doesn't like you cuz you did XYZ, then
you get mad at yourself for doing that, and worry what else
you'll fuck up, when really it's just that time of the month
for her, and or worse, you're just making crap up in your
head. :(

Look dude. I can't really say anything more then what I
have. I do think meditation will help you understand what I
said more and train you to feel it naturally. Something I
want to get into more.

Why worry? It won't change anything. Think, register it, put
it away until you need it.

i've tried that recently, with decent success. Just take
things at face value and use them later if I can.

I guess I'm just a natural worrier, I'm looking into the
meditation thing though, I wanna find my inner calm :)

meditation in silence don't worrk forr me. If you put some
ambient music on and sit and listen to everry sound and tip
and tap of it, that will chill you out. if you think about
purrely that. eyes shut silence purrely think of the music
nothing else.

I think I know what you are talking about. I worry about
the future, but I think rather than doing anything to change
it for the better I just worry about it. Boy do I worry
about it tee hee

I'm going to go see a therapist and take some meditation
classes next term, it's settled

I can't really handle this constant knife to throat that is
my endless worrying.

I worry about things all the time, when something happens I
think the worst case scenario.
I also think that I know what other people think etc...
But you know. A lot of people fit in certain patterns of
behaviour.
But blatant, dont worry, if you just do the things you have
to do, and just try to have peace with what you cant do.
I think perfectionism might also be a factor causing your
worrying.
(it is for me, but I try to set it aside sometimes)

"I also think that I know what other people think"

so do i aswell. and i bet i am wrrong but even now i would
swearr i am not. but i always think what they think is
negative.

i got past the perfectionism when I started doing shitty in
school :)

I didn't really have a choice
-----------------------
I'm happy with who I am, I just want to enjoy that more
instead of worrying about what I COULD be, what I SHOULD be
doing.

Professional help will hopefully get it all out and allow me
to focus on doing the things I need to do without worrying
about the world caving in should I come up short.

Crikey this subject has got me all thinking and stuff :-)
(It's ok it's my favourite past time)
I came up with this ... I worry about not being able to
change, to adapt.
On a personal note, I think I know where this stems from.
Anyway this is how I live my life and I set my mind at ease
by the reasuring thought that I am wrong because I can
change and the Proof! I will die, the biggest change you can
imagine.
