you never succeed in getting a girl if you try. not never ever ever. it always fails. if you have to try and work at it, and don't know if it's working or not, then it's not, so you might as well give up. unless you're brad pitt or some such fucker. i am alone, but after years of hearing crappy tales of failed relationships and after years of feeling crap about being alone, i'm actually quite happy about it. i live alone, work alone, rarely go places, and see a few friends (and they're just friends), and i'm far calmer now than i ever was when 'in love' though, if any girls out there on the board who like decent music feel like making a go of it with a sad old Englishman with no talent or skills of any real note, feel free to chime in :D I have a complete warp records back catalogue, and know at least 32 of the '69 positions of the karma sutra'! - i read about them in a book once. |

I agree- it should be easy, it shouldn't require "work". I don't think I'll date for a while now following my recent break up, out of choice, not as a lack of confidence. Still more time to make music, eh? I'm not bothered what music a girl is into, so long as I like them. They must NOT eject my IDM tape from the car stereo when I'm driving... I have to chime in and say that good things do happen once in a while. I met my wife while she was on holiday in the USA. She could drink me under the table and open beer bottles with her teeth. That's what really attracted me to her. I suppose in a way I did set out to "get her" because I knew she would be gone forever in a short time. I'm normally not a very outgoing person. I just knew this was my only chance and she was the one. So the short story is that we are happily married for 7 years with our own family now. So sometimes it does work out in the end. |
