Thanks Vit C, you should try a too break and see if you like it cause it lets you get out and do more stuff meet new people and all that jazz... of course the internet being an addiction to a lot of people its hard to quit cold turkey.... I think its safe to say that advanced technology in general is addictive
Fun though

i sometimes want to be able to delete all my userr accounts and just delete myself frrom the interrnet. morre MB's should have "delete userr" options. it would save people just packing up and comming back as someone else when they get the urrge again.

I'll post here until I'm bored of it. Why would I force myself away from this place if I enjoy it? I never understood why people would go on internet breaks and whatnot... I guess if the net is taking over your life or something, but for me, it's something I enjoy. Not a problem or anything, no reason to force myself to stop.
There will be a last Ophecks post here someday, though, there HAS to be!

i have no life, and i think unless i have a real 'emotional cataclysm' once which would make me totally change my mind, i will never have!
i spend my life on messageboards and virtual relationships, i'm a lazy rag... but it doesn't bother me to the point where i would feel a real need to change this.
so i let everything be and lose interest in most things. ' _ '

lately, i have been making paintings again. It's been about half a year that i spent mostly on the internet with no inspiration or desire to do anything else whatsoever... but a couple of days ago as i was riding my bicycle in the very early morning... i suddenly got an idea :-D for a drawing. That's been such a long time!
Now it has gotten to the point where i'm actually thinking along the lines of: "nah... i don't think i'll sit behind the computer right now, i feel more like painting." hehe, i never thought that would happen again ;-)
So i'm going to try and make another children's book (i already did one, but nobody cared about it)... this time i am just selling out ;-) No deeper meaning, no underlying message, no difficult concepts... i'm just gonna make a stupid little simple story and paint it as beautiful as possible. Damnit, i want something to happen in my life this time! I'm gonna get this one published... later when i'm famous i will go back to the difficult and personal stuff ;-)
I imagine i will always keep coming to this board though... i can't imagine life without it anymore :-p

i like drawing, painting, writing, all that...!
but i lose patience very quickly (except for writing maybe) and i have absolutely no talent.
it's stupid, but when i'm home doing anything else than being on my computer i can't help feeling like going back to my computer as quick as possible, even though when i'm on it i get bored. °_°

hehe, yeah. Well i went to artschool for five years... if anything they have thought me the patience to work on a drawing for a very long time ;-) (and if necessary to throw it away and start all over again... that's the hardest part).
And i am like you actually.... the computer can be soooo tempting. But i don't like my life when all i do is sit behind the computer :-/
But for now the problem seems to have solved itself somehow... for me anyway. Inspiration hit me like lightning ;-)
But hey, if you are happy being behind the computer so much for now... there's not a problem right? :-) Maybe later you will grow tired of it and start feel like doing other things too. It won't work if you force yourself to stay away from the computer anyway.

i don't think i believe in talent. it's only a matter letting go.
i'll be gone from here at some point, and then i'll come back. hopefully like ten years or more from now xltronic will still exist and i'll be able to stop back in for a little nostolgia.

"Our society says you have to be gifted, talented or part of a creative elite to make art, but for many traditional societies that's not true. I was fascinated to discover other cultures where absolutely everyone feels able to be an artist. Now I believe that i can develop ideas in an medium i choose, and I want everyone to believe that of themselves."
- Peter Gabriel
(no matter if you like it or not, i quoted just for his point :) )
