i was inspired by the Boredoms topic, to ask if anyone can recommend or tell me anything about the Japanese band Ruins. I've downloaded some of their stuff, in particular i really really liked a song titled "Graviyaunosch"... also, i'm going to Japan on monday~ ^^ yay! (i'll be seeing squarepusher! & kraftwerk at the Electraglide festival**** lucky lucky) |

Actually, no, I only have Yoshida's solo album and it's fantastic. |

wow i found out that song i liked, is from 1993... so their recent stuff must be wicked wicked...... whats Yoshida's solos stuff like? is it still guitars and drums and beats and rhythms? (which is how i'd kinda describe Ruins..) |

It is very much like ruins, a combination of prog-rock and spastic punk, but on top of everything you get dada vocals and shit. It's highly energetic and funny. |

It was recorded in '91 or even '90 and only mixed and put out in 2001 or 2002. Still excellent tho. |
